Humidity and temp both hovering around 70% in the tent, I gave the soil a light spray with aloe and coco water this morning and going to let them do their thing and try and not open the tent for 24 hours. I need one of those accurite temp rh monitors that I can check from my phone !
I ended up just putting the seeds directly in moist jiffy seedling mix in a party cup on 24 hour light under a 2x4ft t5, I'm going to add on another 2 lights in a couple days. I heated the room with a small space heater hooked up to a wilhi temperature outlet and it works really well. Also...
It's kind of hard to know exact ratios when the peat moss is kind of eye balled....I basically try to make equal piles of peat, aeration and compost on my tarp and mix it and then mix in the nutrients and rock dust etc.
Ok my cover crop is planted and my seeds are soaking in water, I have my 20 gal pots cooking in my veg tent because I haven't felt like setting up my flower tent yet...having some temp issues since it's in a basement and the temp has peaked at 57 with an oil filled space heater next to the room...
Awesome so I can start my beans at the same time as I make my soil...
That will save me a month of waiting. once my compost and rice hulls show up this week I am finally done sourcing everything! Can't wait to mix it all up
Only siting on my rice hulls and bu's blend compost to make my soil and start my seedlings a week or so after I get my smart pots made up and cooking. I could get away with using potting mix for a the first few weeks right ?
whenever I plug this light in that I plan on using on my seedlings it trips the breaker even if nothing else is plugged into that circuit...am I missing something here?
I went with the build a soil nutrient pack and their coconut and aloe powder and sourced everything else I need locally at the big box stores. Once this cooks can I start my seeds right in it or should I germinate it first and then put it in this soil?
