    Diatomaceous Earth

Thanks for all the responses. I might just buy a bottle of silica plant food. The DE was a thought, trying to kill 2 birds with one stone.

    Diatomaceous Earth

thanks for the response. That link talks mostly about using it for bugs, while that's good, I was wondering if plants could use the chemicals DE is made of.

    Diatomaceous Earth

I read on a few sites that diatomaceous earth is high in silica, 80%-90%. Can this silica be used by plants? I was just thinking, if plants could use it then that would give my plants silica while keeping the pests at bay, for $10. I read its a good soil amendment due to its physical properties...

    HPS Bulb Help

Unless it's just shitty construction, that's weird that both bulbs are doing that.

    HPS Bulb Help

Thanks for the response. The old bulb was working just fine at 600w, I just replaced it to put a fresh one in, there wasn't any issues I was trying to fix with this swap.

    HPS Bulb Help

I have an Apollo 600w digital ballast I got off Amazon a few grows ago, I decided to replace the bulb with a fresh one and one that is designed for growing. I found Amazon had a 2 for $25 deal on the Vivosun 600w HPS bulbs so I got them (I know that isn't the $100 per bulb Hortilux, but I'm not...

Can I still feed with a nitrogen burn?

Thanks everyone. I think I'm going to stick to liquid food from now on

Can I still feed with a nitrogen burn?

They are, 3-4 month feeding I read. I'm not a fan of how Jobe's doesn't have any feeding schedule on the bag or the website. I flushed it really good twice this week so maybe enough came out. I'm going to let it take in the straight water for a while then see what happens. Thanks

Can I still feed with a nitrogen burn?

Alright, I'll get some food that doesn't have nitrogen and is low (or none) in cal/mag. Thanks

Can I still feed with a nitrogen burn?

I know more isn't always better, that was sarcasm. I did a flush a couple days ago, I might do it again since I'm using Jobe's and Espoma granules. So do you think I could give them P & K but not N? It's a Critical Sensi Star that's 4 weeks into flowering, that's why I'm wondering about the P &...

Can I still feed with a nitrogen burn?

So I blasted my plant with a bunch of nitrogen and now it's falling apart (more's better, right?). I went out and got one of the Luster Leaf soil tester kits and found I have a ~7ph, the water was pretty friggin' pink for the nitrogen test (surprise!), the P & K came back low. Is it possible to...

Might have a deficiency, but don't know how

Thanks for the replies everyone. I'll start giving them some RO water and see what happens.

Might have a deficiency, but don't know how

While this might look like a deficiency, I wouldn't be surprised a bit if it's an abundance issue. On all my other grows I've used the Fox Farm three pack liquid food which was on a similar schedule and had no problems (these Jobe's plants actually seem tiny compared to my Fox Farm plants in...

Might have a deficiency, but don't know how

Thanks for the quick response everyone. I think I made a mistake calling it my 'veggy' garden, I mean my vegetable garden which is on a 12/12 light cycle. (I use 5-3-3 Espoma Plant-Tone for vegging)
