the fuzzy stuff is the root just cover cover it up with coco and with time it will correct itself. its not suppose to happen if u planted it half an inch deep, maybe u didn't pack the top hard enough after planting the seed.

I moved around plants lot of times never had a problem still not recommended. just treat your plants and soil with neem oil at least twice, a week before the move. also check your plants extra carefully for bugs, if you do it you ll be fine.:cool:

I guess any sand will do as long as its clean of all salts, bugs nd shit and very well draining too.

your mate is right sand also helps a lot but I never used this method. just make sure that the sand is very clean or else it might affect the PH of your soil.

If you saw tinny fly like things on your top soil flying around then it might be fungus gnats, if that's the case than just make sure your top 2 to 3 inch of soil is dry in between watering. also don't add any organic matters such as leaves, twig etc on top of your soil as it might increase gnat...
