    LED Companies w/ LINKS

A damn shame.. how soon before we see a forum-based lighting company hit it this big?

China is making Cree CXB3590 now

We are undoubtedly feeding the Chinese economy whether growers purchase their lighting fixtures through Chinese-based companies like Panda Grow and Glow Technology (check op's link) or through forum-based companies like Northern Grow Lights and Pacific Lighting Concepts. More interestingly is...

"Area 51 LED" Information and discussion

That's cool, definitely worth it if you have the spare $. Secret Jardin is a good pick for those on a budget. Regarding A51, my guess is that they're most likely caught up with their latest works and probably don't have time to catch up on RIU. I know that that was how it was with my latest but...

Is anyone growing HOT PEPPERS with CXB3590? Recommended Color Temp?

Left over aluminum came in handy... lol .... tomatoes were short (~1.5' tall) and bushy. They're the grape tomato type. At this point, peppers were either put under the Vero 4000K or put outside, I can't remember but they started under the Cree CXB3590 3500K. Again, the peppers grew super long...

Is anyone growing HOT PEPPERS with CXB3590? Recommended Color Temp?

I used CXB3590 3500K with my peppers and tomatoes earlier this year before kicking em' outside. Started from seed and waited until they started to bear fruit before placing em' outside. I also had some tomato plants under Vero 29 4000K. The 3500K seemed to do well for the peppers, as they grew...

Testing Timber's prototype=4000k/660nm and my finger on the flower trigger:)

Hey Psuagro. How does the 730nm portion work? Does one have to manually click it on/off or?

Lens and Reflector Optics for COB

Would it be safe to assume the current for the Khatod tests were close to 1000ma? ;)

    Top bin COB comparison 2

Your assumption is most likely the case, for financial reasons. I'm going to go out on a limb and predict that they average the costs between the type B,C, and D models and sell em' around 35$ each, as I counted x45 different classifications/variations for the gen 7 Vero 29 cob. Not likely but...

There isn't a bunch of stock available for the gen 5 CLU cobs but 1812~1818 ranging between 18~25$ on CDI ... wow digikey. Do you think Bridgelux will keep their prices for the Vero 29 the same as they did with the gen 5 to 6 conversion or do you believe they will alter their prices considerably?

Lens and Reflector Optics for COB

Can we expect a reading at 18" for the KB-GL's in the near future? :-D Decent work on your end as always.

I don't know if Digikey is a good source to base prices on, as there may likely be cheaper sources if not already, but they do have some of the 1212 (~28$ per x1) in stock, with 1818 prices available (~53$ per x1) but with no inventory.

Are we basing data off of version 5 or unreleased version CLU cobs? Again, I'm late to the show ;)

While new to the Citizen cob scene, I'm happy to see the shift of focus from the more prevalent brands here in the forum; New is always good and interesting! In the near future, when more data is collected on the above models that robincnn charted, would it not be more appropriate we compare...
