Added another grow light. Not sure what it is, the package said it was for plants, and when I turned it on it was purple, so I think it will work. I also got a timer for the flower stage and a separate cord of the aerogarden light Will post some pics when something starts happening

Just bought an aerogarden and I'm totally psyched. I had a few questions, though. What's the best setting? Herbs? or Garden Greens? Also, is it a better idea to germinate the seeds first, or just go ahead and toss some in the little foamy dirt things? This is my first time attempting to grow...
