seed bank: lowlife seeds

strain: automatic white russian

soil: mg organic

ph: 6.8

nutes: so far a low dose of nitrogen when it was in veg.. it was organic beet fertilizer.. other than that just plain spring water when the soil drys

symptoms: not really sure... its my first grow, my only concern for now, is my stem aint as strong as i want it to be,or as thick... and also the size of it seems small??? she smells real dank right now though , which is areal good sign..

age: it broke soil july 1st so its 23 days old

wow, buding at 23 days huh? impressive.

whats the problem you noticed? other than being small

edit: oh the yellowing tips! give it a dose of nutrients and it should be fine
 
Don't give those plants more food. Yellow tips means they are overfed. Also the clawing of the leaves means overfed too. Your plants are not liking that soil at all, just tough it out keep on with that spring water.
 
Auto strains flower on there own when they are sexually mature....also that plant would be a lot bigger if it was not in MG soil. You can tell that strain is hating the "hot" soil.
 
i like how the plant is short, making it easier to conceal. but i do have a question about why it's so short. is it short because of the strain's genetics or because of what type of soil and nutrients the plant is getting?
 
I'd put a very low fan on it to try and strengthen the stem if you are really worried about it. It probably won't get big enough to really weight it down and have an issue though.

ya man, i think its the soil, unless organic nitrogen can do that? it was so diluted plus its real low strength to begin with... SHOULD I TRANSPLANT INTO DIFFERENT SOIL OR IS IT TOO LATE?? SEEMS LIKE AT THIS POINT TRANSPLANTING WOULD SLOW GROWTH EVEN MORE? BUT IM NOT SURE..
 
plus auto flowers dont respond that well when givin nutes.. my first grows were auto flower Lowryders.. never used nutes till they were 5 weeks old and at that only used 1/4 strenght .. but i used ocean forest ORGANIC potting soil.. is that in a cup?? if u can get some ocean forest get some and only use ph water at 6.5-7.0

lol nah, its in a pot, maybe bout a gallon or two? not really sure, but it was cheap at the local store.. thats kinda funny cus now when i look at the pic it kinda does look like a cup lol

ya man i guess i wont know til this ones done.. ill fa sho make a journal same strain with just plain garden soil.. everyone seems to hate mg and im just one of those idiots who bought it cus it was cheap :( oh well you live and learn...
 
im to 1/500 who defends MG and 1/1000 who knows how to use it. the fundamental rule to using MG safely is to start in plain soil or moss untill the plant is a few weeks old. then i put it in MG with only a few of those nute balls, then when i transplant to gal pots i ust the full strength MG soil, compost and guano. never had problems with it
 
souns good to me bro , i agree because it was harsh as hell on my seedling as you can see in the pics lol.. i wonder what they put for fertilizer in the organic soil? seiously? is it a mystery cus it dont even say on the bag thats kinda shady... imo
 
MG always uses time release ferts in their products. Just not the best type of stuff to use for MJ but it can be done. I notice that most people who have sucess with Miracle Grow soil use no nutes during Veg (cause it already has ferts in it) and use big pots from the start (eliminating the higher possibility of a "hot spot" in the soil. A hot spot is an area of the soil with an extremely high concentration of nutrients. This happens a lot of times when you use MG soil period, but then when people coulp it with a 16oz cup or a 1 gallon pot, your almost gauranteed to get nute burn and signs of hot soil.

Then you got the genetic factor....some strains may grow in that same soil without ever getting nute burn. Indicas tend to eat more than Sativas. Autoflowering strains tend to eat less than Sativas.

sup man? thanks for the info.. i just flushed my plant this morning and all the runnoff is yellow.. is this typical from the soil dis-coloring it? or does this mean its acidic or over-ferted? im just gonna keep flushin this soil, wait till it dries, flush, and hopefully at some point it comes out clear? my meter says the soil is 6.8 even when i stick the probe to the bottom..
