Sexing Already?

Ok heres the deal, i have some plants, half have been outside their whole life, and half inside their whole life...

We had 2 bad frosts so the outside ones came in for the night 2 nights in a row then went back out in the AM....

The inside plants have tiny tiny tiny leaves starting to grow between where each branch off meets the main stem, right in the crotch where you would tell the sex, i never noticed them before and i stare at them ALOT!! but that doesn't mean they weren't there before its just odd they don't have there own branches...

The outside plants dont have leaves here but they all have little tiny ass things that are green and pointing straight up from the same spot as the inside plants....

Heres the question: Am i just dumb, or are they showing sex already, there about 2 months old (not sure they were gifts) kiss-ass

Yes i know its a newb question but its my first grow... :joint:

Plants can show pre flowers after 4 weeks of veg, sounds like there starting to show sex. What do u mean by"little tiny ass things"? Does it look like a bunch of bananas or grapes?

Well neither really, they look greenish whitish color and stick straight up out of the crotch of the branches, on the outdoor plants, but when i checked the ones i had indoors they had little tiny tiny leaves that are fully developed (as far as shape) but really small coming out of the same spots, i cant get a good pic with my camera...

The odd part is i have a decent amount of plants and they all look identical in this spot, its def. not showing any balls, what are the chances of say all the plants being female? (edited to not show a number)

It is new growth. New shoots...side branches. Those are future bud sites. Nothing is wrong.

On some plants the side shoots will grow fast and on others they wont right off, but will take off later.

Ok good to know!!! Does that mean theres a good chance of them all being females or does that still not affect the probability?

Both grow side branches. It is where the side branch meets the main stem that the sex of the plant shows.

On your indoor plant, have you switched your light schedule to 12/12 to induce flowering yet?

No they have been on 18/6 but i just brought them outside for the first time thats where they will be transplanted soon i will finish up outdoors...

I should have known it was just new growth, i got confused because i thought without topping or some other cutting that they only had 1 main stem and 2 branches off each side of the main stem, (naturally)... but these all have 2 more branches in between the secondary branches and the main stem....

Once the amount of light they get per day decreases they will start working on flowering. It can take a couple weeks for the plants to show sex.

So basically these leaves and what not popping up here is called pre flowers and then they will sex in a couple of weeks?

Does that mean that since they were inside and now went outside that they wont grow on a normal schedule that just outdoor only ones have?

Will the harvest time be the same if the whole group of plants are the same age? (even though half were outside only and half started inside)?

No not preflowers new branches. The preflowers show up where the new branch meets the main stem, called node. For a male it will be a pod and for female two tiny white hairs, called pistols=preflowers.

Inside, you control the light schedule and for flowering 12 on and 12 off. Outside nature controls it. Typically sex will show sooner inside because you dictate when and what the plant gets, 12 hours dark to force flower.

If they are all in the same grow environment, yes most often. If you have some outside they will be a bit slower than the inside ones, only because nature's amount of daylight changes by minutes everyday.

I understand the idea of the new branches i think i was just confused i just thought there was only 1 branch that came off each side of the stem at the "nodes" but it seems theres 4 on each one then? Im gonna try and get a picture just to verify maybe im toooo high LOL :joint::peace::joint:

4-10-3 nutes until my vegging ones get here, thats all i had, but its helping even though it should be way higher N and P values...
