Ok i'm growing 1 lowryder ak47 and its a little over two weeks old i'd say. I'm using 2 26w cfl's in a pc grow case with an exhuast fan. I'm using organic miracle grow which i think is the problem but would like some more input. I think this is nute burn or burn from the lights being too close even though i thought they were a good distance away. Take a look at the pictures and see what you think. Sorry if they arent too good its taken on my phone that has a 3.2mp camera. If you need better pix let me know .

I watered it and put it a little farther away just in case that it was the light doing that, if anything now i would think the plant would stretch. I think im going to keep it that way till i can get a solid answer as to whats going on. Anyone? Thank you.

doubt u can burn a plant with two cfls.. at least not unless the plant is practically touching the light.

i have 4 26w cfls on 4 seedlings about 3 inches from plant and they aren't burning.

looks like nuts are cooking them.. it's not the light, but hey im no expert..

Yeah i was thinking more of nute burn but idk.. i already know miracle grow is not liked her on the forums, and maybe this is the result why. The bag says its organic miracle grow if that makes a difference to anyones advice as to whats happening

i grow in MG just fine but i don't use it when its 1st sprouting, nutes shouldn't be givin to a plant until its about 4-5 months old.

u can put CFL's really close...my 42W are about 1inch from the plant, and the 26W ones are less than an inch away.

Lowryder only lasts 2 months but thats besides the point. I moved the light away a little bit and i'll see how it does.

I'm pretty sure... because its miracle grow and thats why a lot of people talk bad about it because it has nutes and burns the plants and stresses them when they are really young, which i think is whats happening here. The bag did say organic though but im not sure that matters at this point. It should be going into the flowering stage because it starts at 2 weeks so idk what i should be doing

does your soil have nutes in it?

yeah those leafs still look like that. I think it was the miracle grow. Looking at it this morning , the smaller leaves look like they may have gotten a little bigger and i'm going to keep the plant going. Hopefully it pulls through. My next grow isn't going to be using miracle grow

It's the miracle grow. That's why most on here hate it.

Next time try PLAIN OL' SOIL mixed with vermiculite and/or perlite and add your own nutrients.

It's just easier to control. As far as this one goes, you gotta just keep fighting, as they get bigger they may grow into the feeding. They may die, but no reason not to keep them trying.

Yeah i see why mg is talked down here. I did add some soil mixed with verm when i transplanted it and added more soil and room for the roots. But my next order is going to be a bigger one from attitude and gonna get better soil. Hopefully she sticks through and gives me some decent buds

Also, what lights should i get at home depot. I can probably fit one more light in there, so if i get 3 42w cfl's would that be a lot better?

i had the same thing happen to one of my lowryders i bought from amsterdam, i grew two of them side by side, the one stayed all yellow on the first two leaves and only grew two more, stoped, then just decided to die, still green in the middle, but the poor things not grown for a whole month. anyway i figured it was because they got too cold, i didnt use any nutes, but i did start them wayyyy too early in the year. but eh u learn....
