I've been tossing around the idea of trying to get a Med card here in Alaska - does anyone know of a "Pot" Doctor in Anchorage?
Thanks

GWN,

Any luck in you're quest? I am also in AK and very interested in the details of medmj. I just started really looking into this possibility and would definitely need to fly in to the big city to get the ball rollong, I am assuming anyway. I am not sure a doc will be anywhere else that could help.

P.S. love that avatar, looks like a monster.

I am in Alaska and searching for a doc as well. Any luck at the clinic? Anybody know of any other doctors in Alaska that will prescribe it? I am hoping their numbers will increase, and soon. I don't live in Anc but I am willing to go if I know there is a doc to go to. Thanks in advance!

I don't want to say Which doc at the Anchorage Neighborhood clinic to talk to (don't want to cause trouble for her), but I can tell you that she sees patients for neurological dissorders and she is a straight shooter. She is in her seventies and won't write the prescription unless she thinks it might help you.

I have been researching this for a while. Over on the 420 mag forum there is an area dedicated to Alaska MM. The general consensus is that the card is very hard to come by and that you're name is on a very accessible list. Also there are no dispensories.

With state laws the way they are, small ammounts are legal, and up to 24 plants in you're home falling under the Alaska constitutions right to privacy act there really is no reason to get you're name put on a list for any state/govt employee to see.

I am sure you have seen the NORML page, but here it is if you have not. http://norml.org/index.cfm?wtm_view=&Group_ID=4522
