Aloha
Taking place in a 3'x5'3"x20" mylar lined tent with minor air circulation will be my 2nd overall grow. The tent never gets higher than ~83 degrees, though remains humid (I live in a very rainy town in Hawaii). This modular LED has 60 diodes running at ~2w and their wavelengths are as follows:
7 x 660nm
3 x 630nm
3 x 10000k
1 x 5500k
1 x 2700k

These specifications are per module and the unit contains 4 modules. All diodes have a 90 degree lens. I designed it this way in an attempt to replace blue diodes with white ones and thus I'd hope you'll stick around to find out also.

My 5 seedlings are in my own starter mix in solo cups which I hope to transplant into 3gal Smart Pots (as soon as I get my hands on some) containing CoCo. I will be using House and Gardens CoCo A&B along with some molasses to supplement my nutrients and my light is currently on half strength on a 16/8 schedule. They have been under 12/12 since seed but have not shown any sex yet (its been about 2 weeks?).
The LED switch and lighting schedule change-up will indeed stress them but I have already seen good signs. 20 minutes after turning the LED on in the middle of their 12/12 schedule (as I switched out my 2700k CFLs for my LED), two plants responded to the light within 20 minutes and pointed themselves toward it. Within 45 minutes all 5 had responded to the LED and pointed upwards toward the light. With my CFLs, my plants took anywhere from 45 minutes-2 hours to respond to light, or what some would call the plants "breathing".
I will get a few pictures of the little ones shortly but for now:

Subbed! Digging your spectrum choice, very interested to see how the red+white ratio works. My next panel is going to be similar but with more white than red. Can I ask where you purchased yours from?

Im watching... lets see what it can do.
Glad to have you all along for the ride! I am excited to see how the white performs as I'm sure I'm not the only one! New toy indeed :bigjoint:

I purchased the unit through AliBaBaExpress and the company who produces the light is called Shenzhen Lighting Technology(China based). Here is a link to the unit I bought. Should anyone require any further information, I have been sent a spreadsheet of technical specifications and had a bunch of questions answered. Please feel free to drop any questions or concerns and I'll get back to you promptly!

I understand my unit is my "closed" in terms of ventilation (compared to the Blackstar Chrome) and this was just a common error on my part, as I had desired the more open model. I do not have any complaints of mine atm, it gets warm but doesn't burn up. It has a big, slightly audible fan that keeps it cool, but the noise is muffled when my tent is completely closed so I'm fine with it. Lights will be on in half an hour, I'll snap a couple pics then.

Aloha

Sorry for the wait, I got stoned and... Well you know how that goes. I've decided to put whats left of my half chopped 12/12 from seed plant under the LED (you can find the link to the full grow/story in my sig). She'd previously been almost completely amber (hairs) with mostly milky trichs and she just came out of a day of darkness (I noticed a bunch of new growth, they will be pictured). She's 66 days into flowering.
Here she is throwing hairs out everywhere, again...

All my pics didn't upload but oh well, I'll get 'em up sooner or later. The seedlings are getting pure water for now. Thanks for stoppin' by.

Aloha

P.S. In case you were wondering what that little clear plastic thing on the pot is, that's my little shroom chamber in between flush (if she'll flush again, that is). Here's the first flush:

About 10g cracker-dry. They really knocked my dick in the dirt the other day, I must say...

fuckin narley pics and set up. how much did all that run you?
Roughly $300 US including the tent, light, and all the gadgets (pots, soil, fans etc.). I purchased the materials over a couple months so, it wasn't a big punch to my wallet. Besides, I use a lot of what I buy in my vegetable garden outside also.

Nice spectrum choice! I'll be following!
i think its a very clever spectrum choice. 1800-2700k best for flowering; 3000k best PAR; 5000k is equivalent to mid day sun spec 6500k is daylight or veg blue 100000k i used in my last grow with LA woman also! 10000k i believe puts out some uv since its made for reefs and shit underwater...deep blue great vegetative growth. i see nothing but good coming out this gig.

Love the insight, my friend. My 12/12 from seed girl responded really well to the light, more foxtails/denser clusters of hair (and also bud apparently :P). The seedlings are still stressin' and one of them started flowering. I'm not sure if it just hasn't had time to revert to the vegetative stage or if it's an auto. Time will tell...

Nice to have ya, Jubiare. Thanks and I hope my spectrum pulls through!

Love it-and am very interested in your results. I went with the 8 module from the same company- mostly because I could do paypal instead of t/t- feels like more buyer protection that way. My final spectrum choice is-

4 Red 660nm (90 degree)
6 Red 620nm (90 degree)
1 Blue 470nm (120 degree)
2 Blue 420nm (120 degree)
2 White 10,000K (120 degree)

I probably throw in a few cfls for spectrum also. I'll bet you'll do well with the white leds. This is the way of the future, ya'll!

Sounds well-rounded, friend. Drop us some pictures or a link to your grow when you get jammin'!

As for the 12/12 from seed girl, she's getting chopped totally. Shes 95% milky but hasn't fully swelled. I need to do my girl a solid for mothers day and seeing as how we have no smoke (and haven't had much) I need to get her curing already.

My seedlings are recovering from a slight N deficiency. I left the N supplement in a bag in the garage... Lol. Pics in a day or two, thanks for lookin'.

EDIT: Somehow my shpiel of how my 12/12 from seed plant slightly hermed on me didn't get into the post? Anyhow, she has a few seeds here and there. Pulling at this point almost seems like a good idea.

no amber tric's? give them a week see if it gets any bigger. you may not see any amber trics at all and all and ur hermi issue could be a good case of over ripening and if i was you i would keep them seeds you have!

Yo! Your inbox is full bro. I have a personal vendetta against fem/auto seeds... I'd prefer to stick to regular seeds as much as I can. Not only for their stability but I am very interested in breeding the genetics I purchase. Call me crazy, but I've considered pursuing breeding as a career once or twice... Well, paired with general farming that is... Anyhow.

I'm stumped over what genetics I really want. I'm stuck between Jackberry, Shack, and Cheeseberry Haze. I'm looking for something that won't stink up the whole damned place, have a realtively short flowering time (>9 weeks) and have an active high (daytime smoke). Yield is always a good thing too... Anyone with any advice/experience? I also wanted to start my breeding with Mosca's C99 BX... More on that later.

look for anything with truely northern lights lineage. the smell is not strong until harvested and buds are broken up. grows quickly and stays stocky and yields ok if you find the right one. haven't seen a good seed site with nice NL since BCSC NL#5 back in the day i bought. most seed guys breed for stinky smells so you are probably going to get stanky weed from those. cheese crosses are stinky in their own way. i'm sure the others are the same too. good luck bro, aloha

Valuable knowledge, my friend, thank you. From what I read apparently Haze influences have a less-stink/different smell to 'em all together also.

You're definitely right about seed dudes breeding for stank buds, I've only seen a couple different "stealth" strains.

NL is definitely on my hitlist, but alas, everyone has NL (except me) and I've no idea who has the best knock-off.

I'm not keeping a lot of track of time, lol, but when the plants I choose start flowering I will make sure to document how long they take. I may have 3 autos on my hands, one of which I've confirmed. These will not be the main focus here, but I will keep them around and probably stick 'em in 1gal hard pots or whatever I can find til' they get in the way. I have chosen one so far:
photo(1).jpg
She has a compact structure with nice broad leaves, she's also the healthiest of the bunch. Her stem is stretched out because of neglect and CFLs, but she (hopefully) has proven deserving of a spot.

Here's the gang, I threw the three, what I deemed, autos in a pot that's a little less than 3gal.
Some trickling flush:

Get more pics but the uploader is killin' me, I'll get 'em up sooner or later...
