Jumping In to Say Hi

Hi all. I've been lurking and reading for several days. I'm pretty new here, but not new to growing. I've been self-sufficient for about 18 months and love growing my own smoke. I think I'm going to try ebb & flow for my next grow (starting in about 6 weeks) and I'll be looking for tips.

I'm female, middle-aged, and been toking off and on for about 30 years.

Thats about it. Look forward to chatting with y'all.

Well hello Belle, nice to meet you and welcome to riu, looking forward to see you again.

Hi everyone. I'm looking forward to making new cyberfriends and learning even more about growing... I love growing...

I currently have seven plants in my tent, the end of a year long perpetual grow. I'm winding it up and finishing off the last batch so I can start something new. I have about six weeks to go until the last plants are done. The current grow is Bubba 76, Psycho Killer, White Widow, and four bagseed plants. The White Widow will be done in the next week and the Bubba has two weeks left. The rest are staggered over the next six weeks.

When these get done, I'm going to set up an ebb & flow system.

Early in the flowering phase of the Bubba and WW, I had a bout with spider mites (yay Liquid Ladybug!) but managed to get rid of them. But not before they seriously hampered my poor WW. She's coming out of it, but she lost most of her fan leaves, and therefore was somewhat stunted. Despite that, I think she's looking nice and she smells fruity fantastic.

Hi and welcome, I'm looking forward to hearing and or seeing your results with the bubba 76.
Well, this thread sort of died, but I just had to bump it to report back on my Bubba 76. OMG... This is a strain that I will def run again. And soon.

She was ready in 60 days and despite the fact the she's been through hell, she turned out awesome. My yield was seriously hindered by mites, temp issues, having to move the grow in the middle of everything and pretty much any thing else that could go wrong. It has been a bad few months, but at least I got 22 grams of some seriously dank smoke. After it dried, I put it in a jar for a few days, but then started "sampling". Now that it's truly cured (okay, it's nearly the bottom of the jar), I have to say, I love this weed with a passion! The nugs are rock hard and crumble so nicely. The weed is sticky and stinky. My hubby doesn't smoke, but he tolerates my weed and generally has nothing negative to say when I sit and trim, but this one, he sent me to the back cuz he said he was getting high just sitting next to me trimming! I have to admit I usually trim sort of by rote while watching TV, but this one had my full attention. The smell was overwhelming.

The smell is extremely strong and rather skunky... matter of fact, twice after I've hit a bowl, someone who wasn't aware I'd done so started opening doors wondering if there was a skunk outside...they're pretty common 'round here. I just smiled and said "Gee, dunno..." The taste is a little twangy, but with a good skunk flavor, if you like that sort of thing, and I do.

This is one of those few that make me open my stash just to sniff when I can't or don't want to smoke. It doubles as aromatherapy. :weed:

It is strong tasting, strong smelling, and well, just plain strong. I haven't yet finished a bowl...most of my pieces around here are about half full. My son called me at work the other day and asked if there was a bowl pack he could have... I laughed and said, "Check 'em. Most of them are half packed! LOL"

I am so freaking stoned right now that I have absolutely no idea what is supposed to be in a smoke report, but this stuff rocks.
