Hey guys, there is more detailed information in my grow journal that is in my sig but wanted to get this out in the open so people could see what is possible.
This is completed pics of my home built (well apartment built) vertical growing system.. It is built of metal brackets 22 10 ft 2x4's 4 10 ft 4x4s, some chains, and a shit ton of screws.
The only tools used were my brain, my hands, a screwdriver, 30 dollar power drill, zip ties, and silicon sealant.
85 site, 2400w vertical grow.. there are 4 600w lumatek ballasts running hortilux bulbs that are surrounded on all sides by the system. there is an 19 inch door to go to the middle where the bulbs hang bare and have 2 fans blowing air straight up with a box fan that is blowing air ducted in via my air intake.
the res is 40 gallon with a 2000+ gph pump gh nutes with a few additives.
How it works:
the nutes are pumped to the top of the system through 1 inch tubing which has a downtube on the opposite side trickling down to the other 2 levels.
The ends are capped to produce pressure throughout the tubing.
4mm tubing and inline valves lets me control the flow to each individual pot.
the nute solution drenches the rockwool/hydroton combo and drains down into the gutters which are angled so that they all run to the downtubes located directly over the res. the nute soulution then drains back into the res where it starts the journey all over again!
When the babies are in full flower there is literally a WALL OF GREEN on all sides.
similar systems have achieved over 1.5 gpw... I am shooting for 1.1 gpw since i only have it about 2 thirds of the way full
Feel free to ask questions I am more than happy to answer!
