Will buying an hps speed this up????

So basically this is where I'm at... My plants were switched onto 12/12 March 1st. It is now May 13th. They are in their 10th week of flowering and I don't know what's up.... I have a pocket microscope and I look at them to check out the trichs and they are still, if im not mistaken, 90% cloudy, 5% clear, 5% amber.... i might be trippen out, it is my first grow and getting this damn thing to focus is pretty hard...

I am going to grow again, so I was thinking should I just buy my hps now(I have a litlte more money saved up) and will that help speed this up.. My lease ends soon so I am trying to dry and get out of here and into my new place asap.

I attached a bunch of pics.. Also I have been burning that propane tank for about 10-15 minutes then leaving the room closed to let the co2 level build up. Will this help? or am I just going to be killing myself quickly? the t5 lamps dont give off much heat, the plants are about a foot i would estimate

also I want to point out I stopped giving them nutes a long time ago because friends on this forum and friends in real life told me to start the flush...

I have also realized and come to a realization that this was just my 1st grow and I shouldnt be expecting much from my yield. I made lots of mistakes so I'm not really worrying about having uber perfect bud yet so I was thinken about choppen, maybe early.. I know to be patient, and I will continue to wait, but is it really worth it when I'm going to get a quarter total I bet... My other platn 29.5g wet came out to be like 5.6gs that went in a weekend lol

The HPS probably wont speed it up really. What I see happening is the plant getting a whole bunch new light and going on a little growth spurt, then running out of energy and maturing (i.e. the trichs turning amber)

I believe your final yield will be somewhat higher but I dont think it'll speed things up by much more than a few days.

And I'm betting you get more and 1/4 from those plants

thats not a 100% correct with certain strains

buy yourself a jewerlers glass (10x-30x and up - ebay for like 8 bucks) and look at it and just see if the trichs are starting to cloud up)


This is with a 60x 2 weeks from harvest

you will for sure get more than 5g's dry my guess around a half ounce dry.but that bud looks good.let the trichs get at least 80% amber before you harvest. also another sign is all growth should have stopped and the white pistols should be brown/red and should be dead.... if you have live ones its still alive and needs to go longer.

thanks for the input guys, i appreciate it.. however the problem at hand that I am still dealing with is the fact that I need to be out by the end of the month...

I think at this point, I am going to give them exactly a week from today and no matter how mature they are going to have to pick them...

will burning that co2/propane help at all?

let them go as long as possible and no the propane wont really make the difference for the cost of running it.

well see the thing is I already have 2 tanks of it lol....


I was using it and fruitfully but then somone told me of carbon monoxide,,, burning house down... etc. etc. and I tripped out and decided I would wing and try "sugar/yiest" and that was goin well but it stawrted to smell terrible so I went back to the burning propane but I cant even tell if its helping or if the co2 isg etting absorbed or anything ....

If i were you i would not bother with it.Just focus on light penetration,ventilation,and temperatures.

you absolutely correct and thanks for correcting me, I was going to come in and add that part of what you said but you corrected me b4 I had a chance. But yea, thats correct also and look for that and you will know when to harvest.
