I am running 15 critical mass from seed. At this point 13 of the 15 are showing signs of sexing, signs have been visible for roughly 5-6 days on the first to show. I can positively I'd one as male, pre flower looks like a ball on super tiny stick. The rest of my pre flowers appear to be female but I see no protruding hairs anywhere. I guess my question is how long can it take for hairs to develope and be visible. I never has issues with sorting gender before, but all I see is little open v's and no hairs. Opinions very welcome and wanted. Thanks

ball on a stick is male, just a ball is a female. and hairs will be visible as early as 4 days with right temps/lighting/nutes

I guess I'll take some pix and post. A little hesitant about posting pictures as I haven't had a chance to look into my own safety when posting on public forums.

ball on a stick is female

No.

It is recognized that most often male flowers will grow out on small stalks.

Female flowers will usually sit right on the stem.

It sounds to me like you know what you are doing. Cull the known male
if you need the space, but I would wait out the continued expression of
their sex.

Good luck,

JD

P.S. You can see the stalk in this photo of a male flower:

As always, give it time until you start cutting down your plants... Male pollen sacks don't open up untill a few weeks once they are formed so you have time to properly determine a female from a male
