what bulb you using ?

A bit more light on the AK and it should get you some fat smelling buds, mine did really well using some 12% uvb cfl`s anything in 2700k at around 23w or higher will give off quite a bit of uvb at up to 6 inches maybe even 11 inches.

You got them on 12:12 ? maybe dial it back to 11:13 and then 10:14 over the next few weeks to induce some extra smell and bud ?

if this is your first grow i wouldnt suggest fucking with the hours. keep it simple stupid. your on day 23 of flower, be patient. what kind of soil/medium are you using?

The light I am using is a ArgoMax 600, and they are 12/12 . Really put them on 11/13?

I am with you on that! I don't want to strees them at all. The last thing i want is one/all to herm. I am using Roots Organic/perlite

if your light levels are very high like AK liked to get it really nice then near the end of flower you only need 8 to 10 hours of light max, so I`d start at 12 then move down as they get nearer to the end and add more light but bring down the time they get it for

If your over half way cutting down to 11 or 10 hours can only give them less stress and they should feed better and not get so dehydrated also saves you money on power a plant wants to bud all it needs to bud is what it would get in nature anything more then 11 hours is really being used to make a plant grow more not flower, so do you want more plant with bud on it or do you what the bud you have to get stinky and fat ?

Basically is this grow farm or toke ?

This is just for me to puff on. so your thinking like the last 2-3 weeks bring the light cycle down to only 10 hours over a week or so? then you said add more light?? more wattage you mean? im just trying to get this clear so i dont make a mistake and screw a good thing up. also you dont think it will affect the NL or bubble gum?

Whoah! This is your first grow?! You must got it in your blood man cause you're crops are looking very tasty, and you're setup is pretty fuckin nice.

You're doing a great job my man, keep up the amazing job you're doing!

More light on the plant is always good when flowering just don`t get it too hot and don`t go over what you can afford to run, and the deeper into flowering you get the more time with the light`s off you`ll want to give them you can go down to about 8 hours, I`ve heard of people going down to 6 hours a few large scale grows a friend of mine worked on were in africa and they just could not cope with the heat so would veg on 6/6 and then flower under around 8/16, you can also speed up flowering by doing short days say 8/12 but you`d need to do it by hand or get a programmable timer


What I`m saying is a plant needs good light and the right nutes on hand to the root`s then all that makes it bud is getting a long dark period and good light during the "day" the plant does not really need more than 8 hours of good light per day to flower nice but it does need a rest if you can get it a high level of light.

You know how most plants will 1st show sex at night hell have you heard the noise they make at night when they 1st start flowering ?

How much light and what part of the spectrum it is are key to how the plant will react to in but in reality 12/12 works but 11/13 works you can drop down to 10/14 no problem even go down to 8/16 if you want to for the last 2 weeks

The plant must think that making bud is important that the seeds need to survive the winter but if there`s no pollen and nothing else to stress them, heat mainly then they`ll do fine.

Something for you to think about man nothing you have to try on this grow but it cost`s you less to run

Well a bit more light or some more red spectrum if you can add some some how can you get the light closer without heat being an issue ?

2300k 105w clf bulbs cost £10 and a holder is cheap too or a reptile 12% uvb bulb is good too a bit of extra red spectrum and uvb is always good once your into flowering.

Light intensity will give your plant an ability to absorb more uv and a bit more uv will cause the plant to make a bit more thc and red spectrum light always helps a plant flower faster so, yeah I`d get 1 or 2 of the 2700k 105w cfl`s and add them to the grow for the last 2 or 4 weeks of flower but they have to be really close like 2 to 12 inches away from the plant.

Any 2700k cfl that`s putting out 6% uvb or more will help do you have anything else around you can use to get more light on them ?

HPS are great lights but they get so hot and unless you have a digital dimmable one it`s hard to add a little bit of extra light at the end but if you can the plant`s react to that and use the longer night to bud up more.

Anyway that`s high me typing enough for now lol

thanks for that info! im going to drop the light a little bit and at week 5 i will start to scale back the hours the light is on till i get it down to 9 hours for the last week.

Cool man you`ll get nicer smelling bud and spend less on power so it`s win win, just watch your nigh temps about a 10c drop at night is ideal for the end of flowering and will induce more colour I just don`t like to let indoor plants go under 15c at night I run 26 to 30c during the day and drop to 20c at night for most of my grow cycle.

I wouldn't drop my light schedule at all. 12/12 is most common for a reason. If anything you could back off the lights a bit for the last few weeks. I do and have great results.

auto`s do not need night triggers but other plants need a night and they like a night as long as the day or longer.

You can try it over time it can only save you electricity or lose you a small amount of bud it`s worth the gamble if you can afford the loss to try things and see if it gets you more then other methods its all a gamble mind aint it well if there not clones that is that you have used in the exact same set up before..
