600w and 400w....

So I have 600w Hps and 400 mh/hps ballast...

My question for flowering would it be best to run 600w Hps and 400 MH or 400HPS??? So total wattage is 1k just either having a 400w hps or MH additional lighting...

i would go for the hps myself, some people like to use metal halide aswell during flower, but i think it would be 3 hps bulbs to every 1 mh bulb 3:1 ratio
hps have more lumens per watt, and a better spectrum for flowering
or
if you want, you can run a grolux type spectrum adjusted (more blue) hps bulb in the 400w ballast or even the 600watt ballast if you want to play around with things

Yea was thinking about it maybe ill let it flower for 4 weeks with MH and HPS combo and than the last month do HPS only...

Wouldn't you be compromising the lumens? You will be removing 90k lumens. How about putting the MH,HPS combo for the first month then the last month switch the 400mh to hps would be much better IMO

Hahaha we both are stoned you stated do hps only, so I assumed you only had an 400 mh and an 600hps. I thought you were going to remove the 400mh. My bad.

Doing an mh and hps combo is probably the best method for stretchy plants. Or you could buy the agrosun 430w bulb instead of the mh?

had the mh already kinda want the buds to be nice and tight so i figured MH plus HPS for 1 month and HPS only next month
