FINALLY! The Budologists Dream Shed :)

My dreams are coming true!!

My girlfriends grandfather lives next door and he is allowing me to use one of his sheds to grow some wonderful marijane. Of course i will be covering all of the cost, including electricity, and i cant begin to explain how grateful i am for him letting me do this.


About a year ago the shed was inhabited by his nephew (a hardcore tweaker). He built all sorts of shelving and left tons of random junk all over the place inside of it. There must have been at least a thousand screws that we had to take out because of all the weird random shelves he built.



We removed all of the shelving and our plan is to strip everything out of the inside and then bleach it and paint it.



The main purpose of this shed is to be a Vegetative room where i can grow out seeds that i have accumulated, find the best phenos of each strains, cross them with each other, and eventually start my own seed company and sells these stabilized crosses.

I have a buddy who is a business major that is helping me to accomplish this.


So anyways tonight a friend of mine is bringing over a 400 watt metal halid bulb, reflector, and plug. I'll have to buy a ballast tomorrow. Hes gonna trade all that for 50 bucks, a few seeds, and a nice fresh nug from my outdoor harvest.

Feel free to comment and give me feedback/advice whenever. I've learned more in 8 months on this site than i have in my previous 4 years of growing so please chime in whenever and let me know what you think or if you have any advice.

I think he's asking too much for that reflector honestly....50 bucks should be more than enough to cover a hood and bulb from a pal...unless of course its a nice hood with a newer bulb I would just give him 50 even and maybe even a gram or two but anything over that i believe is too much. Im cheap though...

So is it going to be a veg room or a flowing room you cant grow out plants to seed / pollen in same room and control what pollinates what? You will need at least 3 rooms for your business plan to work. One for veg, one SEALED room for female flowering and one room for male flowering. This is assuming you are planning on year round growing. Also if you want to do it right you will want to be crossing different varieties which means different flowering times / different growth patterns. To realize the full potential of any phenotype you will need to have multiple lights that you can adjust to height of the plant, not just a MH with a hood (but that's a start). Also if you are planning on flowering in the shed I would get a metal door and some camera's.

My shed is smaller than this. Just 250 Watts HPS vegged with MH bulb. Looking to go to 400 watts soon here. This is my first indoor grow.

You can do it with one light / shed, but if you want to make a seed business you will need a perpetual grow which requires multiple rooms.

thanks for you input but i'm pretty drunk right now i meant vegetative room strictly. this is where will veg my seeds that i'm growing. i will flower my plants in another room. dont worry i know what i'm doing its just hard to explain it all perfectly in texts when i'm twisted.

Went to the hydro store this morning dropped about $340. Got a wall mounted fan, used ballast for 95 bucks (regularly 180), 4 4ft flourescents, and 4 2ft flourescents. Also heres the reflectore and hood my buddy brought over yesterday.



Today wer're gona continue cleaning out the shed, wipe it down with bleach. And then hopefully by tonight we'll start painting it white on the inside.

I am subbed great work with the obtaining of a new space impressive!
I love the idea of using that ONLy as a veggie room that way you can black out a corner and flower males. In an area of relative safety...

im here for the ride....

Well we've hit a little snag in the road here. So my ladies grandfather is facing charges for posession of a unregistered firearm (a winchester rifle he inherited from his father).

He'll be going to court on October 27th and hes facing either 32 months in jail, or house arrest and probation.

If all goes well he'll get house arrest and probation but he will have to get permission from his P.O. to use and grow medical marijauna.

So until then this project has been put on hold.

Although my ladies father (we live next door to the grandfather) said that if it goes bad next door that we will probly be able to do something at the house i'm livin at.


Will keep you guys updated, something good is gonnna be happening soon, cant wait to get started doesnt matter where.
