Hey RUI this is my second tent grow and my first time trying the sea of green method. Heres my grow op specs:

-Grow room: 4'x4'x6' grow tent
-Ballist: 600w MH/HPS digital ballist with 8" air cooled hood set 10" from plants
-Ventilation Fan- 4" vortex inline fan
-Lights: 600w digilux MH for vegging, 600w Sunpulse 3000k MH for flowering
-Temperature: 77.5*F during the day and 55*F at night
-Humidity: Between 30% and 50% RH
-Grow Medium: 1 gallon buckets filled with fox farm ocean forest/perlite
-Nutrients: Fox farm nutrient line (according to their feeding schedule) and EM-1
-Strains: 16 Granddaddy Blueberry clones (all trained with LST)
-Watering Schedule: every 3-5 days with PH of 6.5-6.8

I have LSTed all of the plants (except four which need to grow a bit more) to get my light as close as possible to the girls (10 inches as of right now which isnt too bad but im hoping to get closer to 8in). They are on 24 hours of light for the first three days, then 20 on 4 off for the next three days and finally 18 on 6 off for another 4-5 days before switching to 12/12. I will be posting weekly updates on their progress with pics. I also do not know much about granddaddy blueberry so any information from people who have grown this strain would be much appreciated. Feel free to post comments, constructive criticism and pics of your grow!

Your setup looks great man. This possibly looks like a blueprint for my future grows.

Peace.
Thanks a lot, I've never tried SOG before so its definitely an experiment at this point. What are you thinking about doing for your next grow?

Well for now I'm just sticking with the NL5 but I can possibly see the Hash Plant in the near future. Or maybe some cluster bomb from High Grade Seeds. It's so hard to choose from all the great looking strains so who knows.

Today is the first day of week two veg and the first day switching the lights down to 18-6. I would be giving them nutes today but apparently they dont need any, they got nute burn from a 1/4 dose so ill be holding off for another few days. I also decided to try the FIM technique on two of the smaller plants and from the looks of it I will have a few nice tops filling in right before the switch to 12/12. The pics of FIM are in order from the day I FIMed them to the present. I cant believe how fast this strain grows, much better genetics than I had last time. Let me know what you think!

Does anybody know if you can tell whether a plant will purple during flower? Are genetics the primary determinant or is it more closely related to temperature and nutrients? Im trying to decide what strain to grow next, the temp is low outside right now but it will be hot as hell when I start flowering my next batch so im not sure whether to get a purp or a kush. Any advice would be appreciated + rep for help!

Purpling is usually in the genetics, but I know you can force purpling by dropping the temps at night, quite a lot. A lot of people have said that purple genetic strains aren't as strong as normal genetics but some people say that about autos as well which is arguably not true. Personal preference I guess :leaf:

Cool thanks for the info man! Im hoping granddaddy purple and blueberry will give me some nice looking purps without having to lower the temperature too much and if it does I might just have to grow this strain again. I've also heard that purple genetics arent as potent but then again some of the best stuff ive purchased from the club was almost pastel purple from all the trichomes covering it! Definitely interested to see what comes out of the garden this time, too bad that wont be for another 8 more weeks! :wall:

Well the girls are all looking healthy and happy entering week 2. The strain has insanely aggressive growth, some of the smallest nodes during transplant have become several inches long with their own developing nodes forming. I definitely have high expectations from this batch! The first picture is from 1-10-11 to show the level of growth in 8 days.
