Ok here's the deal. I bought a 10 seed mix from a seed bank a while back. Thought that the mystery would be cool but it kind of sucked not knowing what I was growing. Also I started in an aero garden but I quickly found out that hydro growing takes a whole lot of work and attention. You need a lot of expertise and time. Both of which I have little. Anyway when the grow started to go south I transplanted to soil. Also I was doing 12/12 from seed which wasn't working out (but I've seen many people have excellent results with 12/12 from seed, so lets not argue that).

Things are still not working out to my liking and thanks to some straight talk from fellow rollitup'ers I'm going to start over. Not completely I do have one seedling and one older female which I am going to reveg with my seedlings I am about to germ.

I actually got extra seeds shipped to me. I plan on germing 2 and starting over, in soil with a little more knowledge under my belt.

I have the aero garden hood attached to the top of my grow box. Lower I have two lamps: one with a 42 watt cfl and the other with a 26 watt cfl.

I have pictures of the seeds that I'm going to germ. I would like you all to make the decision. So if they turn out to be males I can blame you!! Anyway the pics attached show the five seeds in my possesion. What are the two I should germ??

Why not germ them all incase both turn out male?
when not using fem seeds, i would say this guy is spot on.

i use fem seeds, just rather not deal with the chance of less fems than i want, or too many and killing and wasting beans.

those things aside, iam a fan of heavily striped seeds =D

I think everyone would go for the striped seeds. Although the ones from seed banks are normally big and striped. At least mine havent been.

Yeah you do have a valid point of vegging all...my problem is that my grow box is extremely small. i don't want to germ too many and mess up because the plants out grow the space. I have a confirmed female that I'm revegging. I have a seedling and Then I will be adding two new seedlings here in a day or two.

I want to play it safe and stay within the limits of my box. ~ but now i'm debating germing them all, lol

really? this seems like a waste of time... go to the home depot, get 4 clamp lights, x2 100 watt cfls, and get a bigger box... nut up or shut up...

The seeds popped...pic attached.

I actually decided to germ the other seeds...this is going to be a balls to the wall party cup grow...yes I said "party cup" grow...if you think this is a waste of time...then don't waste your time.

I popped these two in 24 hours. Anyway, the method I used to germ was dropping the seeds in a shot glass with water. i keep them there about 6 hours. I've read you keep them there longer but I don't want to kill'em. I then transfer to a wet paper towel (common method). 18 hours later they've popped. Total of 24 hours.

I've now planted them in party cups with potting soil. I Plan on vegging until the plants are between 6 - 9 inches tall then switching to 12/12 to flower. I know the vegging will greatly improve my growing experience. 12/12 from seed was a big mistake for me.

will give pics when the other 3 pop.
