okay i have two 42w 2700k CFL's and three 10w 6500k CFL's.
If i throw these all into one grow box will they work effectively?

the one on the left is the 2700k i have two of.
the other is the 6500k i have three of.

i know you need 6500k for VEG, but this is what i got so do you think this will work or not?

Maybe, but there would be no point in mixing the spectrums....you would only have 30 watts of useful 6500k for vegging....If i were you i would veg outside if you don't have the equipment, like i'm doing......then flower inside, i think you can get away with 84 watts of 2700k bulbs for ONE plant....just barely......in a small space.....but then again i'm a newb so good luck if you try anyway...

re you vegging? I will assume so. You def will need some 2700K high wattage CFLs. How many plants are you growing?
I use 5 CFLs totaling a wattage of: 215W and my plants are going great! I use mostly 6500s, but do have 2x2700 just for some variety!

I would rather let it flower outside, as the sunlight penetrates a lot better than cfls!

How big is your box ? You really need to add a few more lights . You can grow with either spectrum while vegging , but the 2700k while vegging will cause your plants to stretch alittle they will still grow . My advice is to add more 6500k lights for vegging ( 65w 6500k $15 @ home depot ) and switch over when your flowering to the 2700k . I run four of these in my small boxes and they produce really well.
