I started from a shit seed from a bad bag, then just got tape and silver wrapping paper from the cupboard. and set it up in a cupboard. I got 2 fans $ 10 ea and bought a clip light for $10, a bulb for $8, soil nutrient and pot were in the shed. Its 2 1/2 months old :)

Do people think its a female? and does it look healthy? thanks!

Thanks for the tip! :P

i have a 6500k 24 watt bulb, what should watt should i have for my 2300k flowering? I can't wait any longer, i want budz now! ;D

as many watts as possible, more can only help. i don't use cfl for flowering but i would want at least 100-150 watts all around the plant. and i'm not sure on this but i think you want 2700k bulbs. at 2 1/2 months old you should have tiny pre-flowers at the higher nodes but 2 weeks of 12/12 will tell you for sure. I can usually identify females at 6 weeks of veg.

i would also move your light to a few inches above the plant and add a few more if you can around the sides.

does flowering stage need 3x the lumens then in vegetation? i thought it was 9k lumen per square foot flowering and 3k per square foot on veg? so i would need about 2 42 watt bulbs to flower?

sure it will work! if thats what you got then by all means use that, i'm just saying usually more light means more buds. of course there are many other factors but limited light is usually the reason for small harvests. use whatever you want just have fun.

You're gonna need more than 2 42 watt cfl's if you want more than an eighth. The more light the better. I'd use at least 6-8 42 watt cfl's if I were you. You don't want to take the risk of growing only to get a couple of loose, airy buds.:weed:

How could i get 6-8 blubs?? lol, thats too many lamps! How does HPS work? is it for flowering of veg? I want 1 light to do everything (1 veg, 1 flower), i dont have the space for heaps of lights.

hps for flower. you can get cfl bulbs up to 300 watts, a 100 watt with a few smaller around the side would work or you can get v sockets for smaller bulbs. the v holds 2 bulbs you plug it into a single socket you now have 2 bulbs instead of 1

You can get a dual ballast in either 250 watts or 400 watts that are totally self contained. You then get a Metal Halide bulb and a HPS bulb and switch bulbs when you are ready. Then you just flip the switch to match the corresponding bulb. They are only about $250 and will give you a much nicer yield and better quality of bud. Plus, either one of those would be barely noticeable on your electrice bill.:weed:

Is that aluminum foil in the pictures being used for a reflective material? If so the setup is far less a "Macgyver setup"and instead much more of a Jimmie "J.J." Walker 'Dyn-O-mite' setup.

Can you can ghetto?

Nah thats not aluminum. Its the stuff u get in cask of wine or water. My friend works at a factory that makes the boxes and interior for casks and they get 1000's of meters of that materiel. and i got a big 100m roll of it!

What do I mean? Simple ... Neville's Haze clouded my brain and caused a brain-fart unintended and missed double use of a word. The second "can" was of course supposed to be 'say' but certain brain synapses were evidently blocked and rerouting much needed information input at the time.

At least it is not aluminum foil, but other than being; "the stuff u get in cask of wine or water" what is it made of? I have never purchased a cask of wine or water and am unfamiliar with the material and am curious about it.

While i do appreciate the help, and the questions. You dont have to act like a jerk.

In regards to your question, i honestly dont know what the material is, but it does the job and i like it!:hump:

Keep in mind the vertical growth that will kick in when you go to flower...that plant could double or triple it's current height. Hit it with a blooming fert. then hit with about 36 hours of total darkness to shock it into flowering before turning your lights 12/12.
