Introduction

This is a continuation from this thread, which is in the CFL forum because I vegged with CFL's:

4x Sour Diesel Clones
2x Northern Lights Clones

I will update this regularly (2-3x per Week) with new pictures.

Thanks for looking & Enjoy!

I finally got my 600w HPS last night! I also transplanted the girls into 1.5g pots and watered them.

Today is the first day with the new light and the first day of flowering.

All pictures are from 04/18/2009

The last two pictures are of the Northern Lights.

I know exactly what you mean because both my smallest and largest plants are both Northern Lights clones, but they were taken from different plants. The difference is amazing!

Bro the CFLs didnt do the Sour D any justice.....is that 600 watt HPS your using for bud or for veg?

You can get a MH conversion bulb for the HPS system....those plants would do alot better under 600 mh for a couple weeks of veg of then flower them with the HPS:peace:

I found out the hard way that the Sour D will almost tripple in height in the 12 day tranferance period between Veg and Flower

if it's possible, put them into even bigger pots - that will dramatically increase your yield!

Thanks man, I appreciate the tip. I was told that 1.5gl would be enough but with the way that they are growing who knows.

You are exactly right. I vegged them with about 160w of CFL's for almost 40 days.
I got my 600w HPS on 4/17, transplanted & started flowering the same day.

I am aiming for 2 Ounces per plant, which I believe is very reasonable. I was able to get an ounce from one plant on my last grow using the same 160w CFL hood.

My next grow will be a 400w MH/HPS in a Hydrohut style tent, most likely from HTG.

I am really looking forward to that one!:joint:

Week 2 of flowering

I added my 65w CFL right in the middle of the plants. They provide awesome side lighting and they only cost $15 at Home Depot!

I would highly recommend these if you need some side lighting.

Check out the 2 new pics!

I have thought about using t5 lighting but a 4 foot fixture seems kind of bulky. I really was thinking of maybe a 2ft fixture for the veg chamber. Any experience/info on a smaller t5 veg setup?

That looks perfect. I am going to do some more research before I purchase my grow tent/lights from HTG. That won't be for about 2 months anyway so I've got some time to decide.
