Hey guys here are some pics of my new grow room. I am now getting all of the goods. I just got the lights, 3- 600watts w/ Lumatek Digital Ballasts. I will have fluorescent side light aswell. I still need to get Co2,venting system for lights and room, resivor and tables and the rest of the little electronics that are needed.
this whole project has cost me about 6,000 u.s dollars so far. my door has a keypad and the front wall is built with plywood the sheetrocked over too so its a solid room i spent a few extra bucks for security :-)

my little electrical room, my ballasts will be in here mounted on the wall and my venting will come from here too

ahhh the panel

wow... looks like you have increased the value of your home. nice work. hopefully it -is- attached to your home. if it isn't... and its very close by... build some fake walls so that it is attached to your house.

did you actually build the 'shed' as well? or was that the starting point? i was wondering how you had spent 6k already... but building an entire room explains it. looks like its at least 12' by 12' ?

Wondering that myself. Are you dedicating a light hood to each tray?

Here is a picture to reference that type of light layout with inline 6" HO exhaust. These 4 - 1000W are covering a 5'6" X 20' space and has both intake and exhaust to the outside. Works wonders - just can't utilize a light rail, BUT - the whole system hangs on a 3/4" galvy gas pipe that can be moved up and down as needed and the plants are in multi flow pots which can be shifted around as needed. Hope this helps.

PS -You will love the digi ballast. Well worth the money spent IMHO...

very nice lots of room see ya insulated well on walls hate to say it but what about the floor? ive had two 3/4" sheets on my barn floor and the wind blowing underneith made me have to insulate there also as well as heat winters are real cold here top notch set up so far....I guess your splitting the room ie lights on one side? anyway I'm trying to find a cold war house with one of those handy/hidden outback/underground bomb shelters for my next move:) good stuff

Thanks for the replies guys!
I was going to run the lights in a row for easier venting but my stupid stud placement made me do that for now i will run them in a row when i put my venting in.
But my dimensions are 7'x11'x8' for the grow room and 3'x11'x8' for the electrical room. This was actually 20x12x8 shed on my property, and i decidec to make a room in it and fully insulate it and sheetrock it. The floors have 2 sheets of 3/4" 5-ply ply wood for insulation.
As for safety, theres the front shed door which has a lock but once you open that there is a bunch of storage then a fully framed wall re-enforced with plywood and sheetroock, the front door is steel, and has a deadbolt lock with a keypad. then the gro room door which is after the steel door, also has a lock on it.
I will also making a cabinet in the "electrical room" for my 3-4 mothers which will be growin with fluoros.
I plan on evenly spacing the lights along that back wall and put as many trays as i can fit there (i think 5). I will have fluorescent side lighting all along the back wall and the sides too.
How many plants do you guys think i could grow under the lights? I cant wait to use the digi ballasts, they were expensive!

It does take some work to build a room/s "clean" from scratch...been there.
So three 600's and 7x11' of floor space? If you can afford the extra plant count...a light mover will work great in that space.

yea, minus the doorway path, then thats all useable space, i could put a light mover for two lights cuz the third light wont be able to move due to the doorway, but yes definetly i will eventually put one in, thanks for the input. but for now instead of the light mover i have a 400w hps that im settin up, and ill be veggin/clonin and what not under that.

somthin kinda like this

Dude, thats a nice ass setup, when can you put some pictures up? If you could put some pictures of the outside door, and the inside storage place with the hidden door showing, I would love that.
Also how is power getting to your shed? Underground or above?

Good luck on your grow!

yea man i can post some pics 2morrow, i ran an underground 8gague cable to the center of my house from the shed, and im hooking it in to the dedicated 240v stove/oven outlet, because i have a gas stove (doesnt need the 240v outlet just a 120v for the clock, lights etc. )
i also ran 2 CAT5e cables down there too in a seperate conduit for phone and internet that i will be adding from my room
