Root Rott... you will be lucky I think if you're able to save those plants.

Hopefully someone can chime in who knows how to stave it off. Make sure the temperature in your res isnt too high.

Good luck, i hate to see roots like that!:peace:

Well, I read this post and it perked my interest due to the fact that I was curious about this aerogarden, but hadn't looked into it enough to actually want to try it out.
After about 15 minutes on their website, and reading about how this thing actually works, I came to the conclusion that its better for what it was designed for, herbs and small veggies. Even the larger deluxe model which shows it growing full size tomatoes, like someone said in earlier in the post still has the same 1 Gall res. just larger in height is still worthless to grow more than one plant due to the small 1 gallon res. I noticed that in your pictures you have 3 i think? As well as some herbs of some sort? Maybe if you want to try again, just do 1 single maybe 2 with no other types of plants where the roots may clump together too much.
Here are some references that I found that may help other people get a good idead of what youre working with.

yeah dude your roots have the funk, i posted a reply in your other thread

reactive treatment: microbial
proactive treatment: hydroguard

so should i remove the plant.. will the rot get to my one good plant? gonna readup thanks guys for all your input! i actally was able to lower the ph with like a 1\8 tsp of white vingar and the water is NOT warm it may be a lil cold if anything.. ive been cutting the dying fan leaves but will the root rot get to the other plant.. damn i KNEW something looked wrong with the roots i mentioned that in some post osmehwere.. thanks for the help guys :)

thunderlips ur right.. this was my test run before using some nirvana seeds *link from website* i got i have 2 pot plants i used osme of the other herbs but removed them as the pot grew... i think baxterbaines is on the right track...

dont trash any plants yet.

pythium and other types of "fungus" can travel through the air just the same, so it is likely that your other plants may become infected too, its not a bad idea to treat all plants with what i said earlier, then apply a good couple squirts to some areas surrounding and on your plants with a sprayer with a proper dilution of microbial, the stuff works wonders.

oh and be ready to lose them, go ahead and get some clippings while you have a chance..

just some more pix.. this is the guy we are trying to save now!!

man, am i sorry to see it have progressed like this..

ya... get that stuff from the UK... and forget the epsom... keep the pH between 5.5-5.8 relative temp 68-74

man by the time that stuff comes my plants will be dead.. ill try it anyway... they didnt ship to usa so i found it on ebay but its from australia and they do not accept paypal so idk... I see this ending really bad for me :-\

shitty bro!! i wish you had some hydro stores like i do here... i can just go and stock up... lol ... if i had the money!... anyway... i don't know what ta tell you until you get your stuff..

Um experts please help i dont think its nut burn and certianly not from the aerogarden lights. Its about what 5,6 weeks in and ims till on default settings. Things appear to be okay except for a couple leafs have some small holes and that dryness they cruble if i touch with my hand. I hope the pictures help... I dont really expect to much this is really a test run before i use some seeds ill prolly get from an advertizer on this site...
It looks like N deficiency or the pH could be off. The aerogarden nutes are not very good to grow marijuana. I have 2 AG Deluxe PRO 200's and i don't use the nutes that came with it. I use the full line of FoxFarm nutes with Liquid Carma and SubCulture and all of my plants do very well. I also check the pH everyday. I start the pH at 5.5 and then work up to 5.8 as i increase the strength of the nutes. I only use my AG for starting and vegging seedlings, clones and mothers. After that i transfer mine into a 2x2 flood and drain tray under a 400w HPS for flowering. Now that i have seen the other pics it does look like root rot. To kill the root rot flush with some Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2) with pH adjusted distilled water that should clear it up. Add about 1 ml of H202 per gallon of distilled water. It wouldn't hurt to add a air pump and air stone to the rez to add oxygen to the nutes and roots to help kill and prevent the rot from coming back. You can buy pH up, down and ph testers at any pet store in the fish department if you do not have a hydro store near you. As far as killing fungus and mildew and bugs on leaves you can buy some neem oil at any garden center.

Yeah, i wish there was a hydro store near me, maybe there is i live near nyc... Well i certainly have learned that weed doesnt really grow like a weed and does need some love and tender care... turns out my PH was at like 7.5.. I doubt i will be able to save the plants but maybe i can get a tiny bit of thc and make hash.. who knows ill keep on going! i bought both hygrozyme and this stuff called Florashield, and a pack of subculture... maybe it will make it in time.. or still i can throw the one plant in dirt maybe today im going shopping and gonna pickup some peroxide and maybe that will help. im gonna forget about throwing the plant in dirty to survive i think.. i have installed a fan and the airstone has been in there for a few days too.. lets pray my plants survive long enough for this nubee to try and save them!

For washing the roots with peroxide.. (i got 3%) how much do i mix that with water or should i just take the roots and try and rinse it in the 3% solution..

Try a capfull or so (i would) to a spray bottle and rinse it off fast . Maybe set up a bowl to dunk rinse in . If when you spray it on there it reacts and bubbles you know its enough. Maybe even less than a capfull. Just enough to see a reaction would be best. i would think.

Mix 1-2 cap fulls of H2O2 to 1 gallon of distilled water with a pH of 5.8. Flush with this solution for a day. Then mix fresh nutes with the SubCulture and change the rez. Do not mix the H202 with the SubCulture because it will kill the good microbials.

done i changed the water got a new gallon in there with 2 cap fulls of peroxide and the airstone. i also tried to clean the roots a bit with just a 3% solution of peroxide for a minute and then rinced with running water... the stems of some of the leaves are looking really funky ike purpleish i guess on the top see the pix.. is this normal or is that also a sign that the plant is sick?..
