yes lumens stack Simply enough if you shove a 600w in the same room as 1000w you WILL notice a VAST difference between the lumen output. Frankly my Ballast is dimmable so if you look at my pictures in my thread the blue tinted are 600watts vs the white ones are 1000watts.... it even makes a huge difference in my pictures

The difference between roots in a dark tub of water is they rely on the air your pumping into it to sustain the plants Vs Ebb n Flo you rely on the pump to add more water once your plants have drank all they needed but overall are sitting in air

I plan on having small plants, lollipopped. 6 in each rotation, and if I can SCROG'd. They won't be very big at all if I can help it. I plan on making the cuttings like 6 inches at least. So my plants may get to be around 3 feet, tops.

It's a very small space, I just don't want to spend a lot of money. I don't mean to sound ignorant or unappreciative, but is there a straight answer on the matter?

Another question, while I got your attention. One method is to cut a bunch of holes in the top of a rubbermaid lid and set netpots into it or open flood trays with the whole tray filled with medium, rather than just the netpots.

Are these different systems entirely or just a different method of a ebb and flow?

different methods personally i dont agree with filling up a huge tray of hydroton it would be a bitch to clean then when the plants are done you will have to replace alot of it or face cutting it out of the root system that grew. With rockwool the roots will stay more or less contained inside. I dont recommend a setup like mine that has shallow water beds or even alot of the low pressure aeroponics setups that have sprayers. to much risk of bacteria infection it just asks for more cost

You need either have a constant waterfall/dwc (ive seen really effective Large pipe Pvc grows) or ebb n flow/rockwool (method im pitching for you) or dirt for simplicity and cost effectiveness.

If you dont want to spend alot of money stop trying to add more plants than you have light for and spend more time in veg. so you dont require many rockwool cubes

I was thinking about a RDWC. I like the idea of netpots, but even after they get like 3 feet tall, will little 3inch netpots still be able to handle them and their root system? I want to use RDWC because it seems a little more compact and clean. Do the roots sit in water constantly? I'll have airstones in bot the res and grow tank, I'd just be concerned about root rot or something.

Can you do just rockwool? I was thinking about using coco and rockwool together.

Ok Weednublet, I think it's time to read a thread or something. I'm new here too but I at least took the effort to find SOME info myself. I don't want to seem like an asshole here, but you are asking elementary questions that whole sticky threads are dedicated to. Do some reading, they're there for us to learn and you will find the answer to your question before you ask it. I know I'm in the right place because these guys are patient as hell....I just couldn't take it anymore!....

I've already learned quite a bit and I'd rather be safe than sorry. Everyone learns differently and most of my questions, while 'elementary' were not detailed in alternate threads. Considering I joined four days ago and I now have almost every facet of my grow covered in great detail, obviously what I'm doing is working. Yes, I have instinctively asked questions that I later was able to look up but the reason I ask these 'elementary' or 'basic' questions is because often times the facts are in black and white and I want detailed accounts from other members as their insight has lead my knowledge to be far superior to simply lurking.

No one asked your opinion anyhow. If you don't like it, no one is forcing you in this thread. Don't be a dick and keep your mouth shut. I don't know why people think they need to be dicks. Either contribute or ignore the thread. It's really simple.
