Mini Cloner Converts to a Ebb and Flo Table and Rez

Well I started by making a cloner to use when I take cuts from my mother which has been a learning experience to say the least. I finally got some seeds from the dispensery, which were free btw, of shiskaberry. I sprouted them in rockwool and was looking for somewhere to put them. I looked around at all the parts and pieces, totes included, that I had laying around from designing the cloner and the low pressure aero unit trying to come up with something.
DSC_2219.jpg DSC_2218.jpgI put the red EZ clone heads down as this got rid of the leaking problem of using small totes, it works well in the low pressure aero unit so I thought it might as well work here. The chamber fills with a splatter of droplets not quite a mist. I'm using a fairly large pond pump to get a good spray through the heads.

So I thought I might just put them into the cloner and veg them out there until I could move them over into the flower cabinet but wasn't sure if there was enough room for them. That is when I decided I could just use a small ebb n flo design which I'm currently assembling and taking pics of.
Comming soon pics of the ebb flo side..

Well, due to the fact that I have no local hydro store and I didn't have enough expanded clay pellets to do the ebb and flo how I wanted I decided I would just make it into a mini low pressure aero unit with rez underneath. So I should be able to clone and then move them over into this I used large pots for tranplanting purposes, this way I should be able to pull them out of the veg unit and put them into my flowering cabinet unit with little hassle. Only thing I forsee is perhaps the root masses get tangled together in the bottom of the container, but hopefully they won't be in there long enough for that to happen.
Thoughts? Ideas? Pics to follow as I want to figure out a water schedule

A bit over due but I thought I would throw the pics out and see if there was some interest...

DSC_2296.jpgDSC_2295.jpgDSC_2301.jpgDSC_2297.jpg So this was the first atempt/idea that woud have worked with a smaller pump and more expanded clay but alas that is not what i had pn hand. So i went with something that I thought might end up easier to transplant into the flowering cabent with so i came up with this....

Should let me pick the pot out with minimal root damage and put it directly into this....

Wow, no interest? Or is it a pile o'

Was hoping to get some help on developing a watering schedule, at the moment I"m running the lights at 18/6 with 3 15 min feedings during the lights on period.
I could easily slip another 15 feeding in which would make a total of 4 spaced out evenly through the 24 hour period, but wasn't sure if you should water when the light is off?
I noticed that the container and the pots didn't have any droplets on them right before the first watering period which is an hour after the lights come back on so it made me wonder if I should be giving the extra feeding.

All help is greatly appreciated.....

Well I've made some changes in hopes of making things just a tad bit easier on myself. I've gone ahead and moved the rez to outside the cabinet and hard plumbed it into place. With a few valves I was able to ensure easy rez changes but being able to pump it out. I have plenty of pressure and coverage for my little 8 gallon veg tote with 8 gallon rez that hold 4-5 gallons so I was pondering putting a few holes in the riser I put in to really aerate the rez during feed times.
When they were just seedlings I had them on a 15 min 3x a day feeding schedule but have since increased it to 7 - 8 minute feedings a day. I was alittle confused on whether you should water during the off periods but I haven't been and haven't seen and detremential side effects unless it could be growing faster. I would do shorter and more frequent feedings but am limited due to the timer I have currently for the cabinet. I have a nice sentinel for the flowering cabinet but alas I'm out of money :)

I would like to add a 150W MH if they make on as I see alot of 150W HPS. Going to put one mother for now on the right hand side in a planter after I sex the plants and determine which is the strongest.

Comments?

Photo0173.jpgPhoto0164.jpgPhoto0172.jpg DSC_3281.jpgPhoto0165.jpgThis setup has been working so well for me I've had to cut everything back because I started to early cloning for the next round. Have to work better on my timing. I should just get a few more colas by topping them more than once or as the wife said gave them a haircut
