Rate System for Me..

This is what a me and a buddy of mine have to work with. The ladies are BlueMoonRocks (indica) and the pics were 25 days into veg. I tried to delay flowering for the smaller one but I think I'm about out of time. One of the original seedlings died so we rushed to get another in there (hence a week behind...). Waters 5 times a day (every 3 hrs in lighted cycles), Vita Grow AB Nutes (1100 ppm), 3 shots/day of co2 during light to 13-1500 ppm (after exhaust), and 400W MH beating on them.

We built this thing modeled after the Multi-Flow system and I was wondering why nobody else on here has done it this was way? A pain in the ass to setup and make the control bucket but after that it's really smooooth sailing.

So what do you think? I'll post up some more pics when the buds start swellin' :joint:

Welcome to the site, mrfake!
Judging from the results of 25 days of veg - i give it an "A". looks like well-thought-out and good construction and since i use sun leaves lights/reflectors you get bonus points :)

Excellent job! I also use Sun, and a large cooler for a res, too! Very nice job on the mylar, it must be smooth to reflect well. Why is it on the outside of the pots? You will want to cover your pots to keep the light off the rocks. Nice plant support netting, hand-knotted it looks like. And having the res outside the growroom allows maintenance when they're sleeping.

Thanks for the pix!

These are the ladies a couple days ago, they are getting THICK against the screen. I have to guide the budsites through the canopy because they are getting backed up under the leaves.

Yeah, i wove the screen out of twine. It took a little time and wore a hole in my hands from pulling so hard a million times but it worked and it was free. The trick of the day for people who read this is put STURDY eye screws in the corners and run a single strand the through all four around the perimeter and pull as tight as you can. The tighter the better or else your cross-strands will make your grid bow. Then tie a strand on the left (tight but not too tight), then right, then left, and go back and forth til you get to the middle. (you'll have to tighten the outside ones because the middle will make them loose). Then tie in your cross pieces, alternating front to back. Make sure you weave them together, it takes a while so make sure you have a couple bowls around.

The white buckets let light through so i wrapped them in aluminum foil to keep the roots happy. I had extra mylar I could have used but its way too expensive and i need to use it to make a new veg chamber to get my clones going. The trash bin is connected to a RO system (18 ppm) so I have 50Gal backup water for flushing and in case of emergency. I flush nutes every 2 weeks and top it up every few days.

Oh, and fyi the two other buckets have snap peas, thyme, sage, and jalapenos in them just for shits and giggles. I hope this helps someone out!

toke on bro's:joint:

There's two squirrel fans, both 265cfm. One blows straight through the light and the other as an exhaust. Its not hooked up to a carbon filter yet but will be when they get stinky. my total vol of the cabinet is 64cf so I'm overkill if you go by the x3 rule. there's also 2 cpu style fans under the canopy and a regular oscillating fan above. I have it exhaust every 4 lighted hours and havent had any issues.

update again...:joint: 2 weeks flowering, SensiBloom AB, Big Bud, tarantula, and overdrive in a few more weeks.

yeah, i forgot to mention that a 400w philips hps was swapped in, good catch. wish it was 600 to help penetrate the canopy more but with all the mylar its been doing aight.

Very nice setup. Watch out for those electrical chords, best to tie them up and out of the way... one splash and things can go wrong FAST.

the box is 2.5x4x8. This setup actually worked TOO well, the ladies grew incredibly fast. After 6 weeks veg they already got un-scrogable and were like 40+ inches tall. Now they're over 5 feet with about 2 feet more of *comfortable* vertical room. Whoever said indicas stay bushy has never dealt with these things. They were dropped in the hydroton on 11/8 and less than 8 weeks later they're immense. Live and learn I guess.

Looks good. The only thing I see, may be the struggle trying to get in there and work once everything went thru the net. A back door/hatch may be a future addition at a later cycle. Top notch work no doubt. Very clean

Something tells me that I should have started a new (different) thread or had a grow journal. Update ~~> (+- week 3 flower) :joint:
