Here are better pictures after putting then under HPS. Where do the buds come from...at every node site or just from the tops of the branches?
How do they look?
How do they look?
Sorry I have not updated my posts in quite some time...It just did not seem like it was very interactive with the viewers. However, I've run into a couple problems. I just started flushing a couple days ago because they almost look done to me and hopefully I didn't start too late. Also, the lights got left on for one or two days accidentally while i was away for a weekend. I show a picture before and after they got their new color. A lot of fan leaves got these weird sports all over and got dry. Buds still look pretty good except the top buds look a little skinny. the good stuff is below. Need advice for how long to wait before harvest and what to do about the plants health.
Thanks
not sure because i started with clones, but I am pretty sure you do not use nutrients until you have sprouted and have some sort of regular plant growth. If anything, you might be able to spray a very diluted nutrient formula on the rock wool, but I would make sure to check some other posts about growing from seeds.I have a stupid question. I'm a first time grower, and decided to use a system similar to yours. I currently have my seedlings in rockwool (1-2 day old). When do I start giving them nutrients, and how much?
Thanks for your help! I will definitely try the 4 day dark period before harvest...that sounds cool. Two other questions are: How long is the usual time period you have once the plants are ready for harvest, and when it is too late to harvest? I realize it is somewhat a thing of preference of the effects, but I just want to make sure I do not wait too long to harvest some of these nice buds while I wait for others to fatten and then end up losing some quality.Shit Happens! But it wont be a total waste. Since you have allready started flushing, and they are still pretty green, I would continue flushing for a total of 2 weeks, atleast another 5 days and re-analyze. Do you have a magnifying glass to check the Trichromes? That is really the Main thing I use to determine when to Harvest. You dont want to harvest until the majority of trichs are Cloudy to Amber. I will try your 36 hours dark period at the initiation of Flowering. I have had great success with 4 days dark at the end of the grow while I flush. It is amazing about the amount of new bud growth, and new white hairs emerging. I may even experiment with going longer, perhaps up to a week and journal it with pics. I would guestimate about 15% -25% increase in bud size in 4 days. I say 4 days dark, but I do usually plug in a 105w CFL in the outlet for about 1 hour per night so I can check ph/ppm/problems with the system and check for bugs. It may have something to do with the insane growth in such a short period of time. The Majority of your plants looks normal, so just go about your plan as usual. Harvest after a good flush and after most all of the Trichs are no longer clear. Harvesting when most trichs are cloudy can result in a more heady/social buzz, and the more amber resulting in more couch lock. But you never know, some strains will be the same either way. Good Luck!

My second question is about Molasses. I put regular molasses that I bought from the grocery store in a very diluted mixture into my tub yesterday. Is that right, or is molasses a name for a specific plant nutrient that I don't know about? Hopefully not.
