Hey Guys and Girls,
This is my first attempt at growing bud. Its from OG Cush seeds (i think). The plants are 6 1/2" tall at 28 days, I have the AG on tomato/peppers setting. I've added (one week ago) 2 - 150 watt CF lights, a fish tank air stone, and a small fan. I think I'm the right track, what do you think?
Thanks

the one I am building-well converting from an ebb and flow table that I built myself if I went from scratch would easily be less than $60 including the pump, pvc, water resevoir, and lumber for two 3ft by 3ft units for a total of 6x3 and 18 plants. I could use this from veg to flower, however I am building two additional aeroponic systems that are basically for cloning and vegging.

I am calculating by others' results that I can grow white widow from seed to harvest in 45-55 days with very RESPECTABLE yields with this system. Someone else used an aero grow from cutting to harvest in 36 days with some Ohio Player? strain.

Should be interesting, I'll keep you updated :)

those babies look like mine did, now they are fewer in numbers and a whole lot bigger!!!!

the roots go insane, watch out for those boys kill them asap and drop your air hose through the open plant spot. if you can get your plants in the aero count down to 2 or 3 . trust me it would be better to kill them now than to let em get big and die. leave the open spots for clones while vegging. if done correctly the aerogarden, which is really like shallow water culture, with constant drip, can support 2-3 flowering plants and 3-4 clones. do you have a figure 8 connector and a timer? set to 12/12 and watch them triple in size!!! figure out where to hang your lights. and how to contain the stank!!

you may also want to treat with thuricide to ensure you don't get fungus gnats and larvae, thats why mine went brown. look under grow faq and find fungus gnats, the stuff is cheap and it's a natural bacteria that eats larvae and flies and other nasties.

the last picture is from 29 days from seed all the others are day 85 from seed week 5 flowering

Thanks r32115,
I really appreciate the advise. You started flowering at 7 weeks? How tall were they at that point?
Thanks

Excellent grow thus far, Snackmix. Take the advice of the other grower; when your plants are somewhere near the maximum height for the Aerogarden hood, put them on 12/12. Sex them quickly, and remove any males/hermaphrodites carefully so as not to damage the roots of your other plants.

Get yourself a surge protected power strip, and set the lights on a timer for 12/12, separate from the Aerogarden system, so you can maintain the drip system independent of the lights (I recommend "Tomato/Pepper" setting, alternated with "Salad Greens" when the plant needs more attention; they are 18/6, 24/0 respectively, if I remember correctly). Thin out your plants, and keep in mind that during flowering they will double or even triple in size; the root systems are no exception, especially with the AG. This system, kind to beginning aero growers, is also VERY kind to roots; they'll entangle given the first opportunity. Keep up those side lights; you'll need all the light you can get before this is over.

I'll be restarting a very similar grow very soon, keep posting!

Which bulbs are you using, coiled or u-shaped? 2 CFL's with the 2 already in the ag? I've been debating which CFLs to use, especially when everyone recommends HPS. I'm thinking about using those u-shaped bulbs, rather than the coiled ones...but would be interested to know if you've had any issues with yours...

Damn Knownm...thank for you saying exactly what I want/ need to hear. I've been betting with some of my buddies who think this isn't going to yield too much...

definitely looking forward to proving them wrong
