Hi All,

A fellow RIU member (monstars99) asked if we could make a Yield Database, so I threw one together real quick:

I was trying to figure out the easiest way of doing this but it doesnt seem like we can post MS Excel flies here....

Anyone got suggestions on format? so we can all record on it but keep all the data together in a single list?

Hey 414,

This is a sample listing in the works and has been fabricated from breeder info... trying to find a way to share the yeild sheet with everyone. Please dont judge your crops by this project in the works.

Why don't you create an actual database that contains strain name and info as well? Make it useful. A spreadsheet isn't going to do anything, whereas a database can answer queries and you can share one with Google apps...

A very good idea in its own right, but not exactlly what im trying to do.

The spread sheet is one that I was going to keep updated with info submited by RIU members of their own yields and re-posted for members to download on a weekly basis.

This was just to be able to track our own yields, not to be strain guide. This was just a lil project I was asked to do for another member.

What I need is a way to create a link on the thread to a ftp style site or something.... of a file share website. Anyone got any ideas on any for me?

I do still think a strain guide would be a slick idea too! :)

Yeah, you can upload any format and have it viewable to anyone, even without a reader. XLS (excel), Open Office format, PDF, etc. You can also export it from there in many ways as well such as PDF which might be easier for some folks to read if they desire a hard copy. Docs dot google dot com. I use it _every_ day, working or not. Using that, an amazon cloud drive and e-mailing things to a non-google e-mail account ensures that almost no matter what happens, one won't lose data if a computer crashes and (unlikely) the servers hosting the data die at the same time. You can also re-download everything in your Google Docs account at once, which I find nifty for making back-up discs.

a really sweet database of the strains available commercially and mythically is at the en.seedfinder.eu
i'm pretty sure they have a feature where people can join as a member and review strains.
