So I got a problem...(Should I harvest)

I got two plants going a blue dream and a purple kush both are healthy and have some good buds. They are in the end of the sixth week of flowering and about half of the pistils have turned brown on the blue dream and about a 1/3 on the purple kush. I checked the trichs and they are mostly clear which I know means they're not done.

So heres my problem in about a week and a half I leave Cali and go back to Az for school. Obliviously can't drive back to Az with trees hanging out of my truck :) so I have to harvest soon. If I harvest now how much potency am I going to lose? Am I going to wind up with swagg? :-?


PS just in case I could harvest I started flushing a week and a half ago ;)
 
You're definitely going to take a loss on potency, smell, and flavor. Harvesting when most of the trichomes are still clear and synthesizing the THCA will result in a very weak head high, as there is little THCA and even less CBD & CBN.


You'll most likely end up with some buds made for bongs and blunts, but they'll still catch you a buzz. Better than nothing but still a shame, Blue Dream is a killer strain.

Damn that whats I figured but what if i started giving them alot more darkness instead of the 12/12? Like I dunno only 8 hrs of light for a couple days would that do anything?

You know what fuck that I didn't spend all this time and money to end it like this. I'm gonna make sure these things get at least another week or two. Might still be a little early but at least it won't be swagg. ;)
 
Hey priest

You could try running some GHE RIPEN through them for the last week.

google it as it may do the trick for you as i got some BBC clones through in 7weeks of 12/12 using this for the last 7days didnt even flush it out. No bad tastes or smells All good my man.

Despite the fact I want to see it through I will have to harvest in the next couple days. Checked the trichomes still mostly clear with some cloudy and amber. So it looks like I'll just have to smoke and see :bigjoint:
 
If there more clear then amber.....I'd just wait a few days man, there's no sense in rushing it when you've waited this long.
 
Well I Harvested today only cause it turned out I made a mistake in the beginning. When I was looked through the microscope the first time I used a white table as a background and it looked like all the trichomes were clear. But last night when I checked again against my wood table I was happy to see that they were in fact smoky throughout both and the blue dream had a 1/4 mix of Amber. Looked like a good amount so I cut them and they're drying right now :bigjoint: dumb mistake but it worked out :wink: thanks for all the help
 
Dammmmmmmn man, looking GOOD, yeah sometimes sh!t happens, we make mistakes....but whatever looks good, I hope you already started germinating new ones to keep the process going lol
