Do my plants look ready for harvest? HD PICS

Its been about 6 weeks into flowering and its getting close to harvesting time. I would say that about 40% of the hairs on the main bud have turned orange and some of the leaves are staring to die. I flushed her today and i was thinking about harvesting this weekend. I should also note that i dont have a magnifying glass to see the crystals up close. I need some opinions on how soon i should i should harvest and any tips on how to do it would also be welcome.

i would still say you got about 2 to 3 weeks

start flushing in like 2 to 3 days then flush for 2 weeks and if the trichs look good chop her down but i still see alot of new growth that thing is gonna explode wait for the calyx's to swell and the hairs to die back the check the trichs

i read if i wait a few more weeks the high will be more of a stony high and less of a head rush. is that true?

Ya dude def a couple more weeks. No more nutes though. About the whole change of high. I have never had a problem. The strain is the strain.It shouldn't matter letting it run longer. Use your ppm tester and keep testing every day and bring it down to water the ppm of just your plain water your using is

You should start flushing and give it another like two weeks and you will get the soaring high and not so much of the head high. Great plants, and you must have a very high end camera those pictures of the trichomes were amazing. just flush for two weeks and you should be good also invest the twenty bucks in a 30x hand help scope bongsmilie

wow, thanks to everyone for the advice. im gonna push back the harvest date from this weekend then. im thinkin i will just play it by ear and see what happens. i already started flushing yesterday also.

so does anyone have any good tips or techniques on how to harvest and cure? this is my first grow so i could use any advice.

Yeah I would agree, You have at least another couple of weeks. I personally don't believe in flushing for 2 whole weeks, I think a week is really all you need but its your call. The last few weeks are when those buds are gonna fatten up and they need nutes to reach their ful potential. Go by the triches, they look mostly clear still. Nice healthy looking plants you got there!

Yeah you probably should get a scope for less than 20 bucks.. watch the resin glands (trichomes) when you pull your harvest hang dry for 5-14 days in a comfortable temp 65* 75* about 45 to 55% humidity.. best to dry with no light.. keep the handling to a min. friction cuases resin glands to rupture.. remove big leaves at harvest (optional)**I do it..i even trim the excess leaf from my buds that others usualy leave on. then they hang..dry until stems snap (not fold over) then put your buds loosely into jars or other airtight containers. be sure not to damage your budz. check the jars or container to see if the buds have sweated moisture.. lightly touch a piece and see if its slightly damp again.. place remoistened buds in a paper bag stacking about 6 inches high only....too much more could cause mold friendly evironment..fold the bag over once or twice.. check them 2 or 3 times a day rotating if u need to to evenly dry your buds.. when dry to the touch and stems snap.. place in airtight jars and look for the sweating again.. repeat process untill jars sweat no more..then you are ready for smoke and long term storage.............what i have read and learned, and personal experience. hope it helps...

yee start flushing now, the leaves will start to yellow because the plant will start to use the rest of its nitrogen
its not a bad thing just gotta get all the nutes out of the bud
