can flir/ir see me help please

hi i recently moved house and i am planning to start my new grow here but unsure,i was going to set up my grow the other day but looked outside and saw a flying pig,in other words a police helicopter.i spoke to a friend of mine he said they are looking for growers using the flir/ir technolgy,i have a 400 watts hps and wanted to know if they would be able to see it,i am gonna grow in a tent 3by3 feet and 6 foot high in a room upstairs using extractor fans carbon filters etc,i havent told anyone and i dont plan to sell only for personal will these flying pigs see the heat signature or not will it look suspicious ?i am not using air cooled lighting. just a extractor fan for the tent it self and am planing to extract into the house

How hot is the room the tent is in relative to the rest of the house? They can only see heat coming through the walls, they can't actually see in "heat vision" like Predator.

What country are you in? In the US it is illegal to use flir without a warrant. And no your grow is tiny and wouldn't show up very bright on flir they are way more interested in large grows no matter what country your in. Unless it New Zealand or Australia they seem to be going ape shit down there...

I saw a documentary on it, like I said in another thread. They busted a guy with a 400 watt, they said its hard to tell how many plants or what kind of light they're using. It's just clear that they're growing SOMETHING. Just dissipate the heat some how. Pipe an A/C into the grow op, or pump the air outside/up to the roof.

From what I understand they can't do it without a warrant in the US though. They're probably looking for outdoor grows or just training/patrolling

im in the u.k dude they dont need a warrant out here,they can use as they wish,the heat will be exhausted into my house and i am planning on not using the central heating in that room so the heat from the grow will actually heat the room is this to much any ways around these ir/flir things

you should get a thermometer and see how hot it is compared to the rest of the house at about half way through the 18/6 schedule. Since its winter soon all you probably need to do is open the window and close the door. To keep the cold in, my old room mate made up this trick. Take boxing tape, fold it a little less than half way so you have some sticky still then stick it on the door so the non sticky side flaps over the cracks. Do this to all cracks on the door and the bottom and it'll keep the majority of cold and smell in the room

The documentary that I saw was based in England mostly, and covered a lot of busts through helicopters. Yea they did bust a guy with 400 watts, he was out at the time and they busted down his door and just walked in and found a closet full of plants for personal. The guy who owned the house came back while they were raiding even and talked to the camera about it. Said it was just for personal because pot was so expensive and he could sell a bit to friends

every house has a room or rooms on the upper level that get very hot a few times a day...your bathrooms... have a shower and your whole bathroom will be hot as hell for a little while .. a 3 x 3 grow tent will not be something they would necessary see as a grow room or grow houses more specifically.. and that's what they r looking for... whole houses used as grow ops, they have the amount of heat that is not really controllable, the choppers are looking for them..IMO

and if u r scrubbing your air then just send it back into your return air for your furnace.. clean warm air.. you will actually save money on your heating bill..

The rozzers have shown that their cameras can pick up even the smallest of heat signatures and act on it under the assumption of cannabis growing. Obtaining a search warrant on a shot from a FLIR camera is a whole different matter though and will nearly always require additional evidence alongside it in order to obtain the warrant.

yh ive seen a small bust only once,but i'm sure they said they was tipped off by a neighbour,the heat is the only problem i have i stick to the three rules dont tell,dont sell,dont smell i have carbons filters everything ,why cant the cops just allow the small time growers who are strictly using for personal damn pigs ruin everything
