Trip on this.
Our room is 5" x 3' x 8' tall enclosed with plywood walls and a hinged door. The scrubber and fan are hung from the ceiling, the portable AC is on the ground in the corner. We have at ground level a 4" x 6" intake vent with a fart fan on It(never turn it on, the scrubber pulls hard throuh it with out it on, sucks a sheet of paper to it.) And a 4" by 12" exhaust vent up top above the door but is acting like a intake when the scubber is on.
The deal here is I closed off the top vent hole looking to gain passive or negative intake( wich I all ready have with the lower vent) and when the scrubber is off I didn't want any smell getting out . Well when I closed off the top vent the Door will suction closed and when opening. The air pull is strong as hell!
Well now the AC won't stay on and the compressor keeps kicking off. For the life of me I could'nt figure out what the hell was going on but looked at the changes I did and started thinking that with the top vent closed and door shut that the scrubber was pulling all the air away from the AC intake and making it kick off. Sure enough when I turned off the Scrubber the AC would stay running with the door closed. So I uncovered the top vent for more intake and plugged the scrubber back in and the AC will stay On.
I'm just wondering does this sound right that the scrubber can deprive the AC of enough air to stay running if I don't have enough intake for the scrubber. I really wanted that top vent closed off so no smell escapes and light reasons even though the whole garage is completly blacked out for the most part.
just food for thought or a conversasion piece.
