Scrubber location for best results?

Hey Guys and Gals,

I am wondering if I can some input on where is the best place to put a scrubber, where will it be most effecient to not only exhaust heat but also to distribute airflow evenly? The current setup is below. Also is it best to have the intake on the lower, mid or upper half of the room?

Nobody with any suggestions??

I noticed that the ladies closest to the scrubber during veg were bigger and healthier. Could it be the air-flow in the direction of the scrubber creating more air for them? Im wondering if it would be better to put it in the top rear center between the two tables.

bump!

i would put it up hight on the oppisite side of your intake hole.....you want the air to come in through your intake at bottom cross over your plants up to the other side of the tent at its hightest point then exhausted outside or in attic....

Intake, either passively or active, should be down below, as it is the coolest air, and the lowest point is typically where the most CO2 resides(CO2 is heavier than air). Also, the cooler air cools the root system in warm enviropnments. Since heat rises, thus pulling scent up with it, it is best to exhaust both scent and heat from the top. In my setup, i hang a scrubber from the cieling above my light. then, duct goes outside the top of my box and attaches to my can fan, which sucks air through the scrubber and outside of the box.

if you use passive intakes, make sure it is roughly 1-2x bigger than the size of the exhaust hole. also, roughly judging the size of your room via the pics, id judge you need a 4in 175 Can fan to have more than adequate ventialation.

That is how I currently have it set up. I am just wondering if I am restricting the air-flow and limiting its potential by having it shoved up in the corner above the light.

No you WANT it up above the light at its highest point oppiste side of where ever you passive intake hole is..........im repeating myself now....what are you confused about??

Im not confused about anything. As I said, "It is currently set up that way, as is the veg room." The question is not about having intake and exhaust on different sides of the room. The question or MAINLY DISCUSSION has to do with restriction of air-flow towards the scrubber, if scrubber would be more productive set in the top-rear-center of my room (as seen in pics), opposite of the intake. Not confined and pushed up in the corner of the room. What are you confused about. I am repeating myself, the scrubber is opposite of the intake, IS AIR-FLOW being restricted by having it shoved in the corner above the light or would it be more productive not confined to the corner.

Can someone help me explain to foot, the discussion at hand? Please!

Has nothing to with opposite sides or anything like that, the discussion has to do with limiting the full potential of the exhaust/scrubber.

Thanks

EDIT: I don't have a passive intake. The air is being fan-drawn in and technically I can place the intake where ever I want. Would scrubber be better place somewhere not so restricted and opposite of the outlet of the intake fan.

Why don't you just stuff a thermometer in your grow room and move the fans to where they seem most efficient? This is exactly what I'm going through right now.

Trial and error is usually the best way.

If the scrubber is actually touching the inside side wall of the tent then YES it could be restricting air flow......If you have at least a half inch between the inside wall of the tent and the outside of the scrubber then its not restricting anything and your fine.......

The Scrubber is a few inches off the wall. If the air is being sucked to the top right corner, I am wondering how much more air is in the right corner than the left corner. I guess two fans would be better in pushing air to all four corners? One on each side of the room perhaps?

Edit: During veg, the plants under the scrubber did alot better than the ones on the opposite side of the room. Plus the oscillating fan was blowing more on the plants under the scrubber. So if I get another fan and push air to the opposite corner, maybe the air-distribution would be better.

Thanks

I think your worrying WAY too much about something that isnt really doing to matter...
