Some more uptodate pics

Currently started week 3 of flowering (tue 27th)
HPS 600w (non horticultural bulb...i will be investing in one asap)
16 plants aka the jungle in a 4x4x6 tent
Had to raise the light was it was hitting the high 80s (first time this grow)...it was around 6inch above the canopy and the plants seemed to love it...but its now sitting around 12inch above and temp is 80-82.

No yellowing in any leaves (even tho im using bigbud just now)...everything seems to be going well (as well as can be expected with all those plants in there)

Still not chopped under the canopy, quite a few bud sites are appearing down there, lots of new growth

I wouldn't cut them now.... you have nothing to gain trimming at 3 weeks into flower other than a little added circulation at the exchange of a loss in yield and stunted growth.
The WHOLE point of SOG (which has a Lot to offer) is to chop at the end of week 3 (I also chop bottom 1/3 at day 7 too) and to keep a maximum number of plants in the smallest amount of space possible while keeping one solid rock hard mainstem cola all the way down. A comment like that leads me to believe you don't even understand how it works. A 600w only penetrates foliage so deep, if you have a bunch of foliage not getting much light I shit you not if all those lower fan leaves are sitting on each other AND even with the fans going on them too, you still have a high risk of getting PM. Especially if your RH is 50%+ but this could be dependent on location and what not because a lot of my circle has/have this problem. If you get hit by PM it's even worse than than going SOG and coming up 1/2 oz less of shitty popcorn buds and a bunch of healthier, more potent main stem buds that are rock solid. Popcorn buds sucks and they will cause nothing but problems for you in a very cramped growing environment, I only say this stuff to try to help you from my personal mistakes. Take my word or not at least go and read about SOG and see if it'll benefit you and decide for yourself. :)

I know what sea of green is dude, so you don't have to talk down to me like i'm a retard. I was unaware that the OP was even considering doing a sea of green and also didn't realize that a lot of people did SOG with plants that are nearly 3 feet tall and trimmed them 3 weeks into flower. Maybe in your circles though.... Everything i have ever read says don't trim in flower unless it's a branch here or there. Not the bottom 1/3 of every plant in your garden almost half way into flower. I do agree with one point you make although i've never personally had a problem with it, PM sucks! I had a friend that had an encounter, his temp and humidity was out of wack though and his plants weren't even bunched together. I guess we will just have to agree to disagree on trimming though.

@ kstampy;
Hey man, I know of SOG...never done it before (can you tell haha)...but thats why I was looking for SOG growers to lend a hand and/or your opinions. The usual way I grow, must be similar to slomoking13...dont trim a large percentage of foilage during flower...but like you said maybe i should read more into growing SOG styleee...do you have any good threads/links/videos which you could pass over?
The was the first week my temp and humidity was unusally high...i have since adjusted the light etc to fix that problem. But please do stick around and I would appreciate it if you (and any other sog growers) chip in with your knowledge!

Got a cool tube, but i honestly didnt need it until just last week! Might get it rigged up this weekend since its starting to get warm here.

@ slomoking13 + stinkbudd1

Thanks for the support guys, some more pics for you to gander :) My friend got some new stuff: 1 600w Powerplant SuperVeg Metal Halide (see below for more details) and a 600W Growlux HPS (with added Blue Specrum) and a few other nutrients/additives.

23rd day into flowering...just got proper bulbs so expect to see a new layer of frost soon (i hope_

This is the speedqueen which is twice as thick as the other plants (ak47, Fruity Chronic)

This is the graph for the Powerplant SuperVeg Metal Halide (600w btw)

Hey slomo didnt mean to come off talking down on ya my bad. To be honest I just picked it up over research online all over the place and can't even remember where so now I cut bottom 1/3 on day 7 and 21. Check out Al B. Fuct's perpetual sog on here. I did a side by side like his where i left the bottom 1/3 and i got small runny popcorn buds on the bottom and less yield overall. I guess by making the only bud-able place on the main stem (you gotta aim for your plants being about as tall as your light can penetrate foliage by my understanding) you force it to just produce those rock solid buds all the way down.

I could see it being more practical to trim that much once you have already trimmed it in the first week and you are doing a SOG with shorter plants from the beginning of the grow. But if you hadn't done any trimming yet, would you chop off the whole bottom third of every plant 3 weeks in when they are nearly 3 feet tall? I understand the whole SOG concept, but i didn't think imanoob was trying to do SOG and in most other cases i don't think it would be recommended to trim that much. Anyways, let's see some more pics imanoob!

IMANOOB, LET'S SEE A PIC UPDATE!...

yoyo, im still here haha! Thanks for sticking around slomoking! Not been online since i got my new place, they are looking good now...all the big colas have totally joined up (except for 2 plants...both speed queens...expect them to join up by the end tho)

Its getting hot here (sometimes hits 90 in the tent)...but there is no wilting and to be hoenst the plants seem to look fine. However, I feel they aint packing on as much due to the very hot weather...but hey...only 2 weeks to go. If i get 2oz per plant (x16) that would make it 896grams (1.493 g per watt!!!!)...but i know 1 or 2 will be 1-1.5 oz...so might just chop them early for some free smoke!

like i said, i will get some new picks of the jungle later tonight!
