Phanthan's first grow - Diesel Ryder (outdoors)

This is my first grow ever, and it's taking place outdoors somewhere in Europe.

Info:

10/10 seeds germinated
5/10 plants survived
Planting date: 16-06-2008

Gender status

Females: 1
Males: 2
Unknown: 2

15-07-2008: The biggest and only female one so far

19-07-2008: The males so far

19-07-2008: I moved the males about 15 meters away from the original grow area. Is the distance ok? It rained like hell today and i had not the right stuff with me, so it was the best i could do.

Oh, i forgot. Also feel free to comment in my grow journal!

I will visit my grow tomorrow, and i'll return with an update and better photos.

I forgot to mention that the female one is budding (i think), white hairs has begun to show atleast.

Hmm. From what I hear males can pollinate from many miles away. There a reason you're growing out the males?

Well i thought about making some hashish out of the males and the trimleafs of the female/females.

A second thought and i think it's just to much work, since i have to find a new grow area which is far away from the original one and buy a new mix and so on.

The two males are now dead.

1 is looking pretty good as well, she has grown a lot since i was there the last time.

Nice job man! keep up up! Just a few tips, go very easy on the nutes with DR and be patient, i waited alot more than i thought was need with mine and as you've seen its definatly worth it! Get a mini microsope to check the trichs is your best best!

After ive harvested and cured ill be doing a strain review so keep a look out for it!

I've not used any nutes yet, i thought about start using them soon, but that just changed, i'll wait a while. I'm glad you said i should go easy on them.

What did you meant i should use the mini microscope for, observe so i know when to start using nutes or harvest time? I think i can use a magnifyer and my better camera, i've done a alot of really close pictures using this messy technique, it works great. I'll try it the next time i visit the plants, if it doesn't work to great, i might buy a 'scope.
What mini microscope do you have, or which is the one most woth it?

Yeah, i'll be checking out your strain preview. I've not heard a single one review of Diesel Ryder, so it's going to be interesting.

Yer be VERY easy on the nutes, i didnt use any at all, i just had very good soil and the power of the sun! :joint:

Yours will get nice and big with all that root space!

Ive heard everyone say they (all lowryder strains) burn really easly! Yer camera and magnifier is ok, but i used it for this grow and i can see the trichs so much better!

Anything 30x and up, i got one of ebay a while ago, look there or just look for pocket microscopes, im sure ull get lots to choose from

Yeah, the rootspace it a little bit over 50 liters.

I'll try the camera-zoom + magnifying glas the next time. From previous results, i think it's going to be pretty ok + some awesome closeups. :joint:

U need to be looking at the trichomes, harvest when cloudy or amber! I think she needs to fatten up a bit. The trichs are the answer, get a mini microspoe, its worth it.

Im smoking some at the moment! Great uplifting celabral high! Cant stop smiling when u smoke it

I thought the closeups were good enugh. You don't got anything i could measure with, when looking at the thrichomes? I mean like guide, pics or something. Thanks in advance.
