Micro LST ebbNflo

So, here goes. I've been smoking for about 8 years now and I have no intent of quitting anytime soon. Well, after being shorted on 1/4 sacks for years now i've decided to put an end to the high prices of the local hustlers. As far as how much experience with all this I have, .. not much really just a lot of free time after work and of course RIU. So, I'll be posting pics and trying to update regularly and of course comments and help are always appreciated.

Here is the outside look of my grow cab I know its small but I am not in the position to GO BIG like I dream of......for now




To handle the problem of intake and exhaust I did some research and made what I thought would work and just kept testing it. I remotely located the ballast of my bulb outside of the box to help the temperature stay down and it worked well. The temp inside the box is always about 2 degrees above the ambient temp

Heres the exhaust and ballast which I usually keep covered with my hoods.


And here is the 2x20' passive intake which I painted flat black and that resulted in a larger intake than exhaust that leaks no light!


After trying several CFL bulbs and tubes of different types I found my best results with this 85w Flourex. The box it came in listed it as 8550 lumens and the color temperature is 6500k. I made a small wooden hood after the temperatures soared and attached two 12v pcu fans that move 65CFM and it has never been cooler.

As far as stocking my cab goes. I've actually started this project about a month and a half ago so the girls are taking off. The strain is not confirmed, but I got them as clones from a friends girl that he said was white russian.


Well I do have more pics to get this thing going, but until I can figure out why Photobucket shows my images in regular screen fine, but when i click fullscreen to capture the URL it shows them rotated to the right even after I tried editing and turning and all that crap.. talk about a run on sentence lol

Ebb and Flow hydro system
Nutrients: Botanicare Pure Blend PROgrow 3-1.5-4 for Hydro
Light: 85w Flourex 8550 lumens 6500k
PH: 5.4 and it pretty much stays there
PPM: 700ppm
Temp: 74 inside and 72 ambient
Humidity: 55% median, 45%--65% fluctuations

Well, about two hours later and i've figured it out so heres my girls with the door open



I've done some LST on them and they blew up!





Can anyone tell me what this it? It affects only some of the older growths

Well after some good advice in the plant problems forum, i've flushed and began a lower PPM regiment. Everything seems to have recovered well. Well, i've run into a problem with my ebb and flow deal. The roots from my girls are starting to clog up my drain ports and my pump lol!

The only solution I can think of is to switch it to DWC...thats where the roots sit in an aeration nutrient tub right...? I think its my only choice if I want to go through to harvest.

So who has experience with LST? I've been doing it since week 4 and I have a Q. What do you do when it seems the plant may be too bushy? I know about trimming larger-lower fan leaves that receive no light. But the whole plant is just growing so many leaves they're just overlapping each other and shit. Should I thin out the herd, And by how much?

kind of, after a severe lack of interest in my journal I kinda gave up on it. I'll post a few pics of them in full bloom. jeez, my whole house stinks I finally migrated outta that tiny box and used my closet and added a 150w hps so DAMN they went off! pics to follow at some point
