Well here we go, just waiting on my order from the 'tude to arrive.
I have made various improvements to my grow room this time around including covering the walls in mylar and adding a Powergrower module. I have also purchased the external duel reservoir controller from GH, as well as a water pump to recirculate the nutrients. I also purchased a 8 outlet air pump for the operation. I plan to use 3 total air lines in the Powergrower, 1 in the drip ring and 2 in the reservoir. The other 5 airlines will be split up in the controller to keep things super aerated and thoroughly mixed up.
If you care to see how I built my 3'x3' room with drainage, or my last grow I have linked it in my signature. Please feel free to post throughout my thread where ever you would like.

Well I have managed to sprout my seed, and after a week everything looks good. Until I get roots down into the water I'm going to leave this as a single unit without the recirculating chamber hooked up. The first two leaves are nice and wide which of course gives me hope for a Indica pheno.

WK3 Photos here. Nice growth for a week, at least a double in size. Roots have begun to grow through the bottom of the tray and into the nutrient solution. Last week I added an additional 100 PPM to the solution mid week and saw early signs of over dose. Talk about a sensitive strain! Since I have roots growing into the solution I will probably add the external reservoir maybe as soon as next weekend, which includes a recirculating pump and a total of an additional 6 air stones.

WK4 - PPM 250

Well I've gotten around to setting up my recirculating tank as well as my large fresh water reservoir. I have also topped my plant in order to slow down her growth a little bit and hopefully give her time to strengthen her trunk. In addition to topping, I began a short dark cycle of 4 hours to help stretch her fan leaves and underside branches out a bit.
I decided to not use a water pump to recirculate and have instead went with a simple air column which I am thrilled with the results.

WK5 - PPM 500 - RES TEMP 68
Another week down with no issues. I was able to push last weeks PPM up to 450 by the end of the week with no noticeable issues. I can start to see a touch of leave curling at 500 so I may have hit my sweet already for the week.

Thought I could probably start doing some mid week updates here soon, growth is really starting to pick right up. I installed my SCROG frame and its about time to start bending her down.

SCROG? What SCROG? Whelp after a mere week the SCROG screen is down. I went to change out my res water and some slimy brown chunks came out. On further inspection after the water was done draining I found slime build up on my tube inside the res. I have treated with DM Zone but I'm doubting that it is a common allege guessing that it is maybe (at best) some sort of harmless biofilm or (at worst) cyanobacteria. In response the screen you see in the pictures was cut out in order to observe the rootball (which there was no slime). I have decided to begin flowering soon depending on how the de-sliming goes.

Very nice work, and I have a question. Why so low on the PPM, especially at 6 weeks? I have 12 Waterfarms with Cherry Berry and Critical running @ 1200 ppm right now at week 6. The Critical loves it, and the CB tolerates it, but I only have 1 res to use. I have found 1000 to 1100 ppm to work every plant that I have grown, and have pushed sometimes to 1400, depending on the plant. I think next grow, you will be better served to start at 500, and end up at 1000 to 1100 at 6 weeks. That is what I do, and it has never been an issue in a drip system. Peace out

I would have thought that I would be WAY above the 500 mark by now as well to be honest. Every week I push her till I see stress and last week it was at 550. As soon as I got that high my fan leaves start to claw.

The only Nute I'm using is FloraNova, I will be sure to scrape some of the film off of the hose in my res for a good picture next res change. And no I'm not using any tea ATM.

It would be easier to understand your 'advice' if you converted your ppm to EC.

Hmm, good question. I am going to do a midweek flush this week in preporation for this saturday nights switch to 12/12 so I will be sure to let you know. Another odd thing is that the only build up of the slime is on rubber type components such as tube (as mentioned) and the rubber handle of my thermometer which is completely out of the water (but still getting splashed). There is no slime on any roots or plastic walls of the system.

I got rushed and forgot to really "rub" the slime. I did manage to grab a couple of pic's though. What you see here is about half of the tube that's inside the main res wiped down and the slime on the paper towel.

Thank You My Brother.Just What I Thought That's Sludge Not Slime Left By The Flora Nova Grow. What Cause's This I Have No Clue Without Taking It And Having It Analized. How Ever My Best Guess Is That The Flora Nova Series Has About 10% Organics In Its Mix.So Im Thinking Is Its Left Over Organics Attaching Itself To The Rubber In Our Res's.I Also Noticed That You Dont Run Any EWC Tea My Question Is Why Not?Ive Been Running This Tea for Years Not Only As A Preventive Mesure For The Slime But Also For Root Health.Hope This Helps Ya Out Brother :hump:

Growing good! Starting to get a little out of control actually, I only have about 2 more feet of rope left to move the lights up. I probably will tie her down a little bit next week depending on the stretch.
