First outdoor grow!

Ok so it's not exactly my first outdoor grow, but previous attempts were not very rewarding. This time around I am 100% legal and growing in the back yard, so no more hiking through the woods for hours or hauling shit to my grow site. With that said let's get things rolling and see how big I can get these girls!!!!!:hump:

----------Strains----------
White Berry
Pit Bull
Critical Kush
OG Kush
Hashberry
Lemon Skunk

----------Details----------
I put these girls out right about the first of the month and currently have them in 2-3 gallon pots with Fox Farms Ocean Forest mix. I intend to keep them in the pots throughout the summer but will eventually be transplanting them into either 15 or 20 gallon smart pots. The reason behind keeping them in the pots is simply because the area I am growing in not very suitable to grow in the ground. When I do finally transplant into the larger pots I will be using a coco/soil mix due to coco being such a great growing medium and cheap to boot! I will be sticking with the Fox Farms line of nutrients throughout the grow as well. Any questions, concerns, advice, or constructive criticism are greatly appreciated.

Let the fun begin!

P.S.The first two pics are from two weeks ago when they were first put outside and the last is from today.

Thanks man! Yeah I am amazed at how quickly they have grown in the past two weeks, especially considering they hardly had roots when I got them from my friend. Kinda scares me that they have 2+ months left to veg! LMAO

I know how you feel, I stunted my girls in their first week of life due to the AC randomly shutting off. Went on vacation, when I came back after two weeks they were more than 4x the size! Was definitely expecting to veg longer but not anymore lol. You've got a good thing going man can't wait to see how it turns out, later on it would be cool if you could label the pots, or just distinguish them on the thread, just my two cents. :joint:

I should be throwing a few girl scouts in the outback pretty soon hahaha,

Hey, MJG! You're out nice and early, and with big pots those girls should get BIG. I wish I could grow outdoors, but no luck yet in neck of the woods so I've got to settle for HPS. Subbed, can't wait to see 'em grow...

Thanks for the suggestion and I plan to do something to label/distinguish between the different plants at some point. Perhaps some sort of color coding system.... Will have to smoke on it. I can personally look at each one and tell which is which, but 4 of the strains I have been growing for awhile and the other two are so different in growth their also easy to identify. :-).

Yes I am out early but the weather this year is primo for it! My uncle also has his plants next to mine which were 3ft mother's when they were taken out and are not doing very well to say the least. I am hoping to out produce and if nothing else have a better quality product than he ends up with. I have taken time to carefully select strains for both their growth traits as well as the finished product. Most of the strains I have chosen are great producers and finish quicker than most which is nice because you just never know when the weather will turn to shit! Lol

Been a week or two since my last update, and the girls have taken a bit of a beating with the weather we have had lately. Luckily the sunshine has returned in the past couple days and they seem to be recovering well. Hopefully by this time next week you will hardly be able to tell anything happened. Lol.

I am considering just taking them and putting them in the ground. It had occurred to me how much water these girls will suck up throughout the summer coupled with the fact that I spend a lot of my weekends away from home they will probably be better off in the ground. Going to get the shovel out this afternoon and see what I can do and if i can maybe get rid of all the weeds and maybe make my area a little bigger to accommodate them a bit better.

So I ended up putting all my girls in the ground a couple weeks ago and things are not liking so great...I lost the Pit Bull and all the others(with the exception of the white Berry) look like shit and have strange growth going on. Is there any chance of recovery or am i doomed to start over fresh?

Been awhile since my last update and things are beginning to look up! I did loose another plant and am now down to the White Berry, Lemon Skunk, Hash Berry, and OG Kush. The WB is by far doing better than the other three and in now around 4ft tall and turning into a nice bush. :-D However with that said I did not pay attention to how close I put this big girl to the pool and am no worried about both mold later on from the moisture of being so close and the chlorine getting on the buds(can't imagine it tastes to great nor good for you). So the other day I went out and super cropped the entire bottom half of the plant(to make it bush out even more!)and today I took a couple strings and tied the top of her over and am going to LST her away from the pool as best as I can. The other three as I said are looking better but are being a bit slow to recover from the bad weather and shock of being put in the ground. I think in the end these three will turn out to be my strongest plants.

The pics in order are HashBerry, OG Kush, Lemon Skunk, White Berry, Group pic, and a pic showing how close the WB is to the pool.

On another note I ordered some autoflowering seeds from Herbies(first order from them, fingers crossed!) Got the 10 pack of Buddha assorted autos and a Diavolo auto for free. Plan to start a few of them and keep these ones in pots, looking forward to seeing how they turn out outdoors as well.

As always any questions are welcome

Happy growing
MJG

Seeds I ordered last week left san fracisco this evening and will hopefully be here tomorrow. Amazed at how fast they made it stateside. Crossing my fingers that customs kept theirs out of my package!!!

they revegged, best to trim away all the bud growth and odd ball growth (reduces risk of mold). Happy growing :)
Recovering from shock, never started flowering. Lol. Was thinking about giving them a bit of a trim though, I have some very retarded growth going on. Lol

Udated pic of the girls. All four of them are making a speedy recovery and are well on their way to becoming monsters. The white berry is looking great! The past week or so of being tied over has done exactly as I was hoping for. As for the other three the lemon skunk I thought was going to die on me has made a total turn around and is now giving the white berry a run for its money! Won't be at all surprised if it outgrows it. The OG Kush although small is also looking good and getting bigger each day. The hash berry on the other hand is healthy looking but still has retarded growth all over, hoping it will come out of it in the next week or so. My beans also arrived without issue and in exactly a week after ordering! Will definitely be ordering from Herbie's again in the future providing all goes well with these beans. I put six of them in cups with Coco for now, after they sprout I will be putting them in pots with a Coco/soil mix.

Pics in order-Group shot, White Berry, Hash Berry, OG Kush, and Lemon Skunk.

Things are progressing well! With the exception of a few mishaps with the rain causing branches to fall over. Between that and the streetlight causing an issue with some tops not fully flowering or at all. Nothing I can do to remedy it without drawing unwanted attention. The close up pic is of the OG Kush, which I may say looks and smells AMAZING! Hoping they all hold in there a few more weeks!

Enjoy next update will probably be just prior to harvest!
