Hempy #2

First hempy was a failure, it was a male, so this is my second attempt

March 10th....6 "Early Wonder Skunk" auto-flowers....rock-wool cubes soaked with distilled water and a seed in each hole..... to a warm/dark place, then under light when sprouted

March 14th .....4 are placed into 2L pop bottles which sits an plastic jar (to catch over spill).... they are in 3 parts perlite / 1 part vermiculite ...currently in the CFL room

March 15th .....2 are placed into 11L buckets with same mixture, these are intended for my 2013 indoor/sunshine grow

Bucket #1 has a soil cap (1 cm) will spend time in the CFL room when the sun is not shining

Bucket # 2 (without soil capping) is in the 600w HPS room with the dwarfed dirt dwellers because there is no available space in the CFL room

I have the 2 buckets in the sunshine this morning.....hope we get lots of sun this year

all four 2L hempy are doing well...the two with soil capping seem to be doing a bit better.

one hempy bucket has a crack below the vent hole which causes about half of the water to leak out, so it's reserve is only about 1/2 to 3/4 inch.

been bring the buckets into the sun when shinning, but the weather has been rather cloudy

I have recently started to move my hempy from the CFL room to the HPS room during the 12 hours it's on, then move them back to the CFL room to complete their 20 hour cycle.

I also put the 2 hempy buckets into the sun when available...to get them accustomed to sunshine, as eventually they will be evicted from the grow rooms.

BTW, the ugly dirt dweller is starting to conflict with my hempy's....I'm just not sure what to do with it, or why I let it continue.

Spring is here...the weather is great, lots of bright sun shine.

The hempy's are now full time in the HPS room (20/4 on/off), as well the dirt dweller spends her 12 light hours under the HPS, but is moved into the dark room for 12 dark hours

I move the two buckets into the sun when shining, which are sure growing slower than the 2L pop bottles

BTW: notice how the soil capped hempy's are doing better than the normal ones....could be just coincidence

It has been 48 hours since I water/feed them, they seemed to be drooping as they were super bone dry....think I'll water them every 36 hours now.

Hempy B is having a few issues with yellow/brown spots on the lower leaves....it has me baffled as the others are all looking healthy.

BTW, I put white plastic skirts around the pop bottles as the roots are starting to come through....I kind of like dressing up the girls

hempy 2L bottle "D" and the soil capped bucket "F" are males.....unreal how quickly it went from looking manish to being full blown males.

Such a shame as that soil capped bucket was looking so nice.....I'll be killing them today

I'm about 99% sure the other 4 are females..."A" & "B" have preflowers, "C" and bucket "E" are not quite matured enough to be 100% positive

the hempy bucket is starting to kick into gear, this is my healthiest looking plant.

bit concerned with "C", as it's awfully short, drinks much less water and has been growing slower than the other pop bottles.

then pics of my dwarfed dirt dweller.....she's an ugly one but is doing quite well now, so I'll keep her going.

the hempy bucket is getting so big it's becoming hard to move in/out of the room into the sunshine....but she does love to sun tan

A & B hempy 2L bottles are very tall but C is looking healthier and greener.....short but nice and plump

the ugly dwarfed dirt dweller is going quite nice....figure a few more weeks before harvest

then 3 new babies in coffee cups.....these are for the girlfriend who thinks she will try to grow some on her balcony....of course they will die and it will be my fault....damned if i do...damned if I don't

I removed all the plants and cleaned the room then rearranged them so make it all more manageable

it's a good fit other than the dirt dweller now sits on the edge and gets less light...oh well, my hempty's always get top priority

the light was on so the pic quality is poor
