First grow, in DWC bubbler setup with lights and doodads

Good day to you all!

I finally got around to buying the necessary growing equipment after many years of interest in the subject but havent really been able to start one til now. Could'nt decide whether I'd go for soil or some mixture, but now decided to go with hydroponics. Might have to learn the hard way and do alot of mistakes, but hopefully I wont kill them off completely. :)
So, figured I would make a journal here and get some tips and advice in case I'm doing something wrong along the way..

I germinated 4 seeds in total, but one of them didnt open.. So I have now 2 more on the way (hopefully).

The biggest one is a mysterseed I had laying around. Funny enough that one seems to be the strongest. The other two are: Critical Jack Herer and Afghan Kush x White Widow (I have no idea anymore which one is which of the two).
I'm not hopeful of the poor one to the left either, might be dead already?

Please post comments and whatever you feel like!

Thanks, ill be going through some trial and error but ill get there eventually...
I just changed the enviroment of the seedlings to a bubbler i have set up for optimal humidity and such. Hopefully this wont kill them off, and will improve growth rate (I think they seem to be going slower than normal, but then again im new at this). So we'll see how it goes!

Temperature is at ~24 C, humidity 45~50%, PH 6~6,5 @ Day 5
Added a few drops of nutrient to about 8 litres of water.

Edit: Oh and also, the root hasnt grown through the rockwool yet however, so this experiment might come to a halt if they dont want to seek for water any lower. I spaced them 2-3 cm above the water.

The move has been successful, all babies recovering all right. Turns out to be a good decision and they all seem happy, even the little late halfdead one that got stuck in the seedcasing is starting to come back. I was prepared to throw it away but that wont be necessary now hopefully.

The leafs are dropping a bit, if its overwatering i cant do much about it, but it might also be too high humidity perhaps?

Day 6 soon, just a small update to show current progress:
First one to show root is the long stalky one, right now at ~1.5 cm long. Ill wait for another 2 sets of leaves before I move them all to new their new individual large buckets probably. Grow damn you, grow!

Hey your grow is looking nice man, my PE is looking healthy too, might be fighting a tiny bit of nute burn/light burn my second set of leaves are a little yellowish on the tip but all is good. giving it 250 ppm right now. i know you got PE is that it?

Thanks man, yeah its coming along nicely so far. I think they might go a bit slow but as long as they're healthy I shouldnt complain too much.
No no PE, these ones are one bagseed, one critical jack herer and fruity chronic juice.

Heres some pictures i just took, day 11 from germing seeds:

I'll need to make some kind of humidity dome cause the humidity without the cups are 10%, inside cups about 30%.
I added some very very small ammount of nutrients to the buckets aswell when i moved them.

I def think some more humidity would of helped mine too, my humidity is around 15%. but they look really happy either way

Yeah they are growing pretty fast, I've read many posts on people loving their new seedlings to death so I've been trying to not overdo it and give it some time, small changes each time. I can see progress each day in size/new leaf growth. Its a slow start but once its gets going its going faster and faster :)

I invested in a air humidifier which got my humidity up to around 30-40%.

View attachment 2421538View attachment 2421539View attachment 2421540<-- this one here seems lightly stressed for some reason, one of the reasons i bought humidifier. Its been like this for awhile tho, seems fine otherwise.

I will change the res tomorrow (1 week change) and give it a higher dose of nutriets. Right now its pretty much non existant. I'm going to give them 1/4 of Canna recommended light dose, which should bring ppm to around 2-250.. I might try 1/3 on one of the plants to see what happens.

What kind of light are you using? and its looking good and healthy maybe thats some light stretch i dunno. and yeah becareful with nutes, my flora nova said tsp per 1 gal= 500 ppm but it ended up being 1000 when i tested it with EC meter. and sweet my humidifer is coming in today i have some hope now it'll raise it, but i have to run my ac quite a lot so i dunno. but i dig your setup, mines similar

Right now im using two 125W LE blue spectrum lamps (just installed the second one recently). Yup, I'm still waiting for my ppm and ph meter to arrive so all I can do at the moment is check an avarage on pH and look at the plants for problems. My ph on the first ~10days has most likely been too high and might have resulted in slower growth im guessing. I made sure to get to know the ph testing kit thoroughly this res-change and have guesstimated the colors to be around 5.5-6. :P

My setup consists of:
4x4x6.5 Tent
2x noname 125W LE Lamps, Blue spectrum 5~6000K
600W Philips HPS for flower
1800L/h air pump, currently divided on four 18L buckets
Air humidifier
All not so important things i forgot

Canna nutrients, tap water

I upgraded my ventilation recently which has stabilized the climate, it wasnt really a problem before but will surely be once I fire up the HPS bulb.
Picture updates coming later.

Yeah, seems to get to learn how different strains grow too and just how individually different their demands are.. Look at these images:

One is starting to wither at the ends of a couple of leaves, and the other have got brown spots on the first single leaves. I could speculate but I want to ask you guys first, what do you think?

Well im lowering the pH a bit, was at around 7.0 or so, just put it at "pretty much orange" which is 6.0. Hopefully i'll get the digital meter soon.

Yeah I dont know, im using 1/3 of the recommended Canna "light" dose atm. I'm guessing pH imbalance, I have corrected that and will keep an eye on them both and see what happens until next res-change.
The third plant (im guessing its the critical jack herer) is doing great without any problems so far. :)

Day 21:
day21.jpgday21_2.jpgday21_3.jpg

The necrosis is still continuing on the indica dominant plant (pic 3), I have changed res early on that one. I still ended up giving it 1/3, which should bring ppm to about 300 (unknown water ppm) according to Canna.
Root growth is great on all of them from what i can tell.
