First Indoor grow - Sour OG under T5

Been here since 09 under a different name but for the sake of future employers and what not I have created a new account. Started a couple years ago with the usual bagseed growing outdoors but now I'm ready to start an indoor garden. The tent was going to be used to keep mothers and the grow was going to be elsewhere, but plans have changed and I am just going to run them in this.

6 Sour OG clones from Doctors Orders
Hydrofarm 2' 8 bulb
3 x 3 tent
Fox Farms Ocean Forest
2 Gallon Smart Pot knockoffs

I am going to be trying out some General Hydroponics on 4 of them and General Organics on 2. Just want to try out different nutes and see what I run best with.

The other two in the 2nd photo are mothers, the big one was given to me and Im not sure of genetics and the one on the pot is another Sour OG that I am planning on hanging onto. If anyone in the 916 area would like to try out a few clones of the unknown I will gladly give you a few cuts in exchange for a grow/smoke report.

These were transplanted last night.

Well it looks like I will be heading a new direction. Just picked up a Quantum 600 watt ballast and a Silver Star 6" hood, both used for $185. I plan to veg for 3-4 weeks under the T5 then switch over to the HPS setup.

9 days since transplanting, the clones are ready to be watered again. I didn't think it was gonna take so long for them to dry up. When I planted them, I put them in Ocean Forest soil and figured what nutes are in it were good enough so I fed them straight RO water. This time around I split them up and gave 3 General Hydro and the other 3 General Organics. This is what I fed:

General Organics
In 1 1/2 gallons of RO .1 EC water
Final: PPM 330 Ph 5.9
2.5ml Pro-Tekt
3.5ml GO CaMg+
4ml Bio Thrive
4ml Bio Root
5ml Bio Marine
5ml Diamond Black

General Hydro
2 1/2 Gallons RO .1 EC water
Final: PPM 420 Ph 6.4
2.5ml Pro-Tekt
3ml Micro
5ml CaMg+
1.5ml Gro
1.5ml Bloom
3.75ml Rapid Start
1ml Flora Plus

and the 7th Sour OG(the bigger one) I am planning to keep as a mother and fed it:
1 gallon RO .1 EC water
Final: PPM 430 Ph 6.3
3.5ml Pro-Tekt
5ml CaMg+
4ml HDI Mother A
4ml HDI Mother B

Each plant received approx 64oz of water

So what do you guys think? Is that looking good? Anything I am wasting time with or should add. Any advice is appreciated.

The 1st picture is right after watering, 2nd is the next day(today). Plants on the left are GO and the right are GH, mother is on the far right for now.

Thanks! The tent is right around 7 feet tall, its just a cheap one for now and leaks light through the zippers and the vents at the bottom. Guess I am going to have to cover it up with a blanket or something when I switch the light cycle. There really isn't anything special going on but I took some pictures for ya. Also the box that the hood came in says Silver Star but there is no name on the hood it self, what do you guys think?

Thanks! Hopefully I can keep them looking healthy, this is my first time working with nutes and having to watch ppm.

Well I came home after watching my Niners win today and found a couple spider mites and quite a few eggs on my mother plant. Mixed up 3ml of Azamax with 32ozs. of water and gave her a spray down. Now she is sitting in complete darkness with the rest of the ladies, hopefully this will work.

Edit: I did not use the whole 32ozs. Between the Sour OG mother and the unknown mother in the first post(which has a bigger mite problem and has been outside of the tent) I probably used 6ozs.

I have a feeling the mites came from a buddy who gave me said unknown mother plant. I will probably put the unknown mother outside and let nature surprise me being as I have paid for the clones inside the tent and I KNOW what strain they are.

Fight mites with ladybugs and praying mantis's. You have enough plants to keep them happy.
Funny thing is, I just left my girlfriends house and there was a praying mantis outside her front door. Seems like a sign from the grow gods, wish I would have picked her up and brought her to the garden. Honestly I don't think my mite problem is that big, two mites and about a dozen eggs, I think they have been there a while but the fan has been doing it's job keeping them at bay. Also I just started feeding the ladies Pro-Tekt Silica so I am hoping that will help in getting rid of the little headaches. I hear, from commercials anyways, that it can make plant cell walls so strong the mites will actually break their teeth and cannot feed?? Sorry for rambling on folks, stay tuned for the update.

Lack of Nitrogen? Or is it a CaMg deficiency? Can anybody explain how to tell the difference between the two because upon research they seem to have the same warning signs. This was the Sour OG mother plant a week ago, she is approx a week ahead of the other clones, she isn't showing these signs now but some of the others are. I am assuming Nitrogen def. but I added N and CaMg at the same time and it went away so I cant pinpoint it.

Just trying to learn how to read my ladies.

Thanks!

Just ordered a 6"x16" Phresh carbon filter. These General Organic nutes can make a room smell like a dirty fish tank!

Just ordered a Digilux 600w MH bulb to throw in for the last couple weeks of veg.

Also got a question for your guys. Now try to keep up with me here. When I first got this tent, I had a clone that a buddy gave me in it. The T5 was on 24 hours a day and after a week or so I noticed some pre-flowers on her. They didn't progress beyond that, just a few little hairs at each node. Then I threw in a clone I got from a club, which is the bigger of the 7 that are in there now and turned the light to 18/6. It also developed some pre-flowers which have since turned brown and died off. Now on the 6 little ones which are approx a week behind the bigger one, yup....pre-flowers. So whats the deal? Have you guys had this happen as well? I have never heard of it.
