First Grow in Flower 4 days, second just a couple weeks in veg...

Hey all, real quick, I started this journal about a month ago on another site. Not gonna bad mouth a website, and for the record, didn't have a bad experience, just wasn't getting what I needed there and after looking around here for awhile decided to start the journal here. I'm a little more than a month in since I put 10 O.G. Kush clones into a room I enclosed in my garage as a flower room and started vegging them there as I worked on the veg area. I put the clones in the room on 7/8/12, and a few "mystery plants" from a buddy. The veg room is complete, and already has my next grow..well, growing. The next grow consists of Ice bomb, THC bomb and blue widow, a couple, to a few of each. I've got pictures back to the first week of July when I built the room. I'll start with a few from the last month and get caught up a bit. Couldn't find a way to just transfer the thread, so gotta start somewhere. Today is day 4 of flower and I'm starting to see little white "hairs" on most. I'll take some pics tonight or tomorrow morning as the room is dark now. Till then, I'll post a grip of pics to help any of you interested in this little grow get caught up. Sorry for the late start, but welcome to my grow!

Veg Room. I kept a few of the mystery weed plants out for veg. The "mystery weed" could be a few different strains, I'm just not sure. As I'd said earlier, he gave them to me after he took some clones from his garden, but was less than diligent when it came to keeping track of which was which..lol. So I know that they're either mendo purps, AK-47, blackberry kush, GDP, or tangerine dream. I kept a few in veg in case I came across a killer smoke that I can recognize as the same strain. Besides, when I decide to up nutes, or try something different, I've got a few ladies to experiment with first. Here's a few pics. The lights just came on and I've got some work to do. I've got every O.G. Kush that's in flower in some form of LST, and I need to take the girls out one at a time, check their restraints and give them a good look over. I'll take some pics tonight and post tomorrow sometime. I'm pretty sure they'll be showing sex soon. I've got a couple of books, but am looking forward to posting pics and getting some experienced help as I progress. Stay tuned!

Thanks for the kind words fellas, took a couple of pics last night after the lights came on. Not too much new today. Starting to see some white hairs (female), according to my book, everything is cloned so I shouldn't have any problem with male plants, but I keep reading about hermies in here and I know I want to identify one of those as quickly as possible. Today is day 5 of 12/12, how long until it becomes VERY clear who's who? I do have some ice bomb, the bomb and blue widow in the first couple weeks of veg and they were all from feminized seed. I've heard of female seeds turning hermie, what a drag. My plan is to grow these guys up and out while the kush and mystery weed is in flower. Clone them all, label them so I can backtrack who came from where, then flower out what I have so I know what I've got as far as clones go. Hope that made sense... Ok, just in from the flower room before lights out. Today is the beginning of week 2 and the girls are starting to stretch. Shoots coming out all over at a pretty phenomenal rate and I'm having to really watch the light placement as they're growing inches, literally overnight. This is really a fun time to be in the room watching the growth just explode. I'm still using the Boogie Brew composting tea as well as the FF big 3. I received a nice sample of Bloombastic that I'll begin to use in a couple more weeks. Was thinking about running out and grabbing some open sesame or something like it just to give them a shot in the arm, but on the other hand, things are going pretty well and I don't want to start over feeding now. Anyway, here's a couple of pics from this morning. I know it sucks with the HPS lights, but I don't go in the room during their dark period unless I've got a problem of some sort, so they'll have to do for now.
I almost always water to the point of at least 15-20% run-off, I've been reading quite a bit of stuff that says if you water in such a manner that flushing your plants doesn't take quite a precedence as you're basically flushing every time you water. Good or Bad? Any ideas or comments?

Ok, time to check in on a weekly update. Sorry about the hit and miss updates, just like everyone it seems, life just gets busy. It’s almost the end of week three of flower, day 19 to be exact and the plants look great. I’ve been sticking to the same watering/feeding schedule as the only time I’ve come into the room and found a plant that looked bad, (it was drooping badly) was because I had pushed the watering time back a few hours. As soon as I gave her some water, she popped right back up. I think I mentioned before I received a free sample of bloombastic and have been using it the first three weeks of flower, including last night’s feeding. I’ll take a few pictures tonight and post. The O.G. Kush looks great, actually even the one’s I can’t identify look great, and so far, the smell in the room is minimal and outside the room non existent. Glad I took the time and spent the money on some gnarly ventilation and a big ass carbon filter. If I hadn’t, I’d be sweating it now.

The tangerine dream my buddy gave me to reveg is leading the room in regard to bud size and density right now. It was the first to show flower and looks really good. I’m hoping she finishes a little early as I’m out of meds and I just can’t wait to try her out. Don’t worry, I won’t pick early =o), but it won’t be easy.


The veg room is starting to stink a bit, I hadn’t really planned that out as well since I didn’t expect to get too much odor and right now it’s not so bad, and it’s nothing I can’t wipe out by turning on my DIY Ona bucket for a few minutes. The Ice Bomb and THC Bomb are thriving to say the least and today I started their LST along with some Supercropping as well. The Blue Widow is a growing bitch, outgrowing everything else in the veg room no doubt. The one I topped young has just blown up and is just a really cool looking plant. I’m thinking that I could of definitely started the veg room a bit later as I’ve still got a few weeks of flower in the big room. The veg room’s going to be HUGE by the time I’m ready to put them into the flower room and I’m really going to have my hands full soon.


The plants are still all tied up in LST, but I haven’t adjusted or tightened in a week and don’t think I’m going to anymore at this point. I’m thinking that around week 6 or 7 I can take the ties off as they’ll be trained, but I’m wondering if I can or should do it earlier? Should I still be pulling these girls down? If I spread them out anymore than they already are I’ll be running into room issues. Anyway, that’s it for this week. Peace.

It's called Reflectix. You can find it at Home Depot, at least that's where I found it. And it does insulate very well.

so far, but they're all looking equally delicious at this point.

I mentioned before I've been using Bloombastic since introducing
12/12. I'd like some opinion on how these buds look for day 21 if anyone
out there has any experience with these strains. I'm thinking for day 21
the bud growth is pretty accelerated. Comments?? Pointers? Help? This
room is getting huge!!! LMAO. Seriously, it IS definitely work, a labor of love,
but labor nonetheless as these things start to spread out. It's my first indoor grow
and I'm learning quickly that a few less plants (whether or not I can have more legally),
may just be more in the way of yield and would definitely make watering less difficult. Let
me know what ya think!
