What a long way we have come since the beginning. Six months ago I had the bright idea to start my first grow. It turns out it is OUR first grow as she has a green thumb. I did most of the research, but I should have done much more research! Anyway, after researching lightning, nutrients, and a few other things that really did make a difference at the time, we bought some LED lights and planted a few seeds in miracle grow soil. They sprouted fine and grew for a while but then after a month when I thought that they would be ready to flower and switch them to the 12/12 lighting schedule I knew we had some problems. Since then, we have upgraded to the 400 W HPS system. It has made all the difference. So the first pictures I'm going to post are those that I have of the first attempt at growing. Following that will be the current grow. Wish us luck! Here we go!

P.S. Feel free to post. Any form of law enforcement is not welcome to read, post, or otherwise come in or near this thing in anyway, shape, or form.

So here is the beginning. Six months ago we started out by buying mylar, soil, and other basic things. I pretty much made a ghetto rig in a closet we have that used to be a half bath. Here are some pictures of the failed first go around.

Here are the plants that started our second batch, which is now our current batch. I germinated these the way almost everybody else does, in wet paper towels that are in a ziploc bag. The first picture is of them starting to grow. The other pictures are of them in our grow room with the first batch under our brand-new 400 W light.

The following pictures were taken about February 1, and they are of all of the ones we planted for the second batch and our set up at that time. Notice how far we had to keep that light away from our plants!

I'm going to take pictures now of what we have going on and post them later on tonight. If you have questions about any of the boring stuff that happened up to this point please feel free to ask. You can also check my gallery while it is still there(because I plan on deleting it in a little bit) for some other pictures of our stuff going on before this point. See you tonight!

I think I got the format thing I wanted..here goes.

Here are pics of our 3 plants that are in day 26 of flowering under the 400 W HPS. I have added some minor additional lighting on the sides (those walmart grow lights) cuz I had them. The temps range 68 at night to 81 in the day. I have the home made CO2 thing going on too...should have posted in the last time...

And some problems that I hope I have corrected...these are from today so this is how she looks today...might take a while for her to recover...as long as the problem doesn't spread that will be cool.

Today is the 4th week of flowering for Lucky, Bertha, and Green Meany. We have had a few setbacks with our clones so our perpetual harvest is 4 weeks behind schedule...more on the clones in another post.
We have noticed a smell...odor if you will, coming from the flower room. The flower room is equipped with an air cooled light, as seen in the pics, and attached to the light's intake is a nice carbon filter. There were some leaks in the system around our glass I hope I corrected. If not then we have a smell to deal with in our months to come...that will be an issue I will be addressing here frequently and let you know how it turns out.
On the odor note, we are growing bagseed in soil, and the smell is kind of sweaty. Like fat lazy guy truck driver who had a hot ride for a day kinda sweaty, not overpowering, but there. Never heard of that kind huh? No offense meant...but mix that with a little of the natural skunky plant smell and there you go...that is our little odor problem right now.

On to the pics!

We bought this, is it the right kind?

Here is Bertha! She is showing some of the same signs as Green Meany did in the last post...I hope its not serious...

Here is Lucky, hiding in the back!
Everyone is correct about revegging...every cola on her is the main cola...and there are a lot...I will count them for next time.
Lucky Hiding wk 4.JPG

Green Meany doing alright, problem leaves have worsened from last post but I am going to wait until after the next watering, which should be Tuesday, to diagnose again.
Green Meany wk 4.JPG

That is it for today I think.
The Humidity is pretty constant, 40-55% and I am trying to drop it to hang around 30%.
Temp. is constant 69F dark period and up to 80F in the day.
I have the home made CO2 up and running.
Air movement is good but I hope not too much as to detract from the CO2.
I suspect that the honey I added before has contributed to the smell...I am going to use that molasses and will be updating on the smell.
The last watering I did was a mini-flush. My next watering I am going to use SuperThrive, molasses, and 1/2 strength Miracle Grow (I know I know, we will get better as time moves on) flower bloom nutes.

4 weeks to go, Green Meany is 33 inches, Bertha is 45 but tied down to 33, Lucky is 35 and revegged. Any guesses to yield? I am hoping for 6 ounces but am expecting 3 to 4.

Until next time!

Edit...forgot about Amber, the newest addition to the Flower room. She was FIMd today and has been inside for 4 days. That is her attached below. More on her to come!

Well, today is day 34 of Flowering for Green Meany, Lucky, and Bertha...all bag seed. Since last time we have taken a cutting from Amber, put all those clones in their own houses, and changed the grow room a bit for better us of space and to make it more convenient. So lets get started.

On the 10th I watered every plant we have. I watered The flower room with full nutes(miracle grow bloom booster) and a cup of molasses per gallon...each plant takes about a gallon of water. I think Lucky and Green Meany are Root bound. The Soil and water PH checks out, 6.7 and 6.8 respectively. I am planning on flushing in 2 days and will check the PH of the run-off then. They still show some kind of problem, which I am asking for YOUR help on, so please read on.

As of today Luck's and Green Meany's pots still feel heavy, while Bertha's was light, so I watered her.

Amber, she is doing just fine, 10 days in flower and topped.

Bertha is still doing good, no questions on her yet. I did a little late LST with fishing string cuz she was growing big... :hump:
Bertha.jpgBertha good light.jpg
Here is Bertha and Meany, and you can notice a problem here on Meany...Bertha is in front and Meany is in the back...or to the right...
Bertha and Meany.jpgBertha front, Green Meany back.jpg
Here is a better one of Green Meany.
Green Meany good light.jpg
Here of a couple of Lucky inside the grow room so sorry for the lighting. You can still notice some of the leaves turning whitish and having the same issues as Meany...
Lucky.jpgLucky Odd.jpg

There are no bugs I have checked thouroughly, the last bug problem we had was fungus gnats a few months ago but we have since taken care of that.

I have been feeding regular nutes (M.G. Bloom Booster) every 2 to 4 days depending on dryness) and was using honey. Oh yeah...after no more honey and watering with molasses, the smell is gone...I thought that it was going to be an issue, but nope. I think it was the honey. Anyways...

1. What is the issue with Green Meany and Lucky? Root bound? Over or under fed? Def? I will double check PH is someone is positive about a PH problem.
2. What are my possible solutions since I am half way through flowering? In other words, what should I do?

Thank you everyone your help is much appreciated!

Hey everyone who is interested! Another update on our grow. I was wondering what our problem could be...now I don't think they are root bound, but close to it, and I think it might have been a build up of salts and whatnot in the soil. We flushed Lucky, Bertha, and Green Meany today and I will wait until they are dried out to water with half veg, half flower, some molasses, and some water from the fish tank. They are probably 4 weeks from being done(I am going to use the colored tric method and am just guessing because they are still white/clear and the pistols are still white). So the plants have been flushed and had their first ever trimming...we trimmed all the bad and what we thought to be unusable leaves and any small growth that wouldn't have amounted to anything. There are some pretty nice pics that are clear...so zoom in and let us know what you think! More updates coming after the next watering, which I figure is in 4 days...or less...

Me and Green Meany! I might use this as my avatar, think I should?

i like the tag team action the you two got going on in here. good luck with the grow.
Thanks! I know I couldn't manage without her support. She is supposed to take care of the veg cab and me the flower room, but we have ended up tag teaming everything... The coolest part is she doesn't smoke, so more for me!

Today is day 40 of flower for Bertha, GM, and Lucky. Amber is on day 17, the clones of GM and Bertha are on day 8.
We flushed Bertha, GM and Lucky almost a week ago and have not watered them since because they just haven't needed it...the soil is drying very slowly. I watered today with the water from my fish tank.

Temps have been good, humidity has been good.
Looks good.jpg
I do believe they are root bound, but I dunno...something else might have stressed them out and they are just not growing anymore...they have shown a little progress in that the buds are getting a little bigger, but I think that they could be better under the 400 watt...here are some pics of everything...

No smell to report on...that bad smell has gone away, now the smell is the grow room is more skunky but still pretty light. The pistils have begun changing colors but not many...progress is slow. The soil taking a week to dry out is a concern to me...I think that from here on out I am going to water with just water and superthrive, with some molasses every other watering. Well, any questions or comments feel free.
Have a great day and don't forget about the Rollitup.org radio via shoutcast for your tunes while online.:hump:

ahahah lucky man!
I'll keep an eye on this one.
Lots of bud sites.
I noticed that, but also notice how small the buds are that are away, or hidden from, the light...so I am wondering how much those sites will weigh. I used to be a buyer, but now I am going to be a dealer...I didn't say that...fuck you DEA. Anyway, just wondering....
