200W induction grow w/ Sannies Kolossus

So, I took the plunge and ordered a 200w bi-spectrum Induction lamp. Waiting for my current grow to finish which should be 10-14 days. Have one Kolossus fem germed currently waiting patiently under a 42w CFL until I make room in the tent and switch out my lights. Going to veg strictly under the induction lamp and then see how things go during flowering... Have HPS and LED to supplement IF need be... but I'd really like to go start to finish with the new lamp to see how it performs.
Hoping this will be an informative thread as I see that this lighting isn't getting much coverage in the forums. What little I have seen however has been pretty impressive... so I'm hoping to add to the excitement... we shall see...lol!!



Hope this thread gathers some interest and I will begin posting regular updates, as I said, once I clear out my tent and start my new venture!!!

picked it up on ebay.... I was honestly going to wait until I was able to gather more promising reviews... but a 6-pack of beer later, I clicked "buy it now"... internet shopping is evil!!!! lol

Hope so Buck... was more of an investment than I had planned on... but you know how it goes... gotta have toys!!!! lol

Generally induction lamps dont carry enough red inda-gro is the only company round with added red phosphor..

I'm aware that at some point I may need to supplement.... I'd rather not of course, but not going to compromise the grow if things start to look questionable... for NOW, I plan on riding it out with just the one lamp... but that could change quickly a few weeks into flowering...

Man ive seen enough in my eyes to purchase up bigtime several growers have got on par results with hps minus heat issues and bulb changes its not the be all end all but a good alternative to hps! How heavy is that light man? i hear the ebay versions can be pretty heavy!

I'd guess it's about 25lbs... thing is seriously built like a tank. I took the 1/4" glass panel off as many people have suggested in the research I've done... that dropped a few pounds for sure. but the frame is VERY solid and not put together cheaply... shipping was $78 I think...

Yeh damn! for a 200w i think the 420w from indagro comes in at 21-22!

I have a cheap light meter... and just for kicks I wanted to see how far back I could hold it from the light and still have the needle pinned... I got about 4 feet back.... didnt get anywhere near that distance with my led's...

the indagrow seems to be a much better thought out, all around design... this thing is a TANK.... no other way to put it....lol! but removing the glass definitely helped. supposedly the glass created heat issues and slightly lowered the usable output of the lamp... so I just took it off.... runs very cool now.... warm to the touch at most

I have no regrets with my led's... they're amazing for veg and have used them to supplement my HPS during flower.... they don't owe me a cent!!! This induction lamp however is leaps and bounds above them according to my $8 light meter... so take that for what it's worth...lol!!! the proof of course will come with the finished product.... can NOT wait to get this up and going!

agreed completely Buck... I'm just hoping this light doesnt find a place in my closet next to the ol' Sony Betamax....lol!~! Should be fun either way... I'm convinced it will grow plants... will it do it more efficiently than my other lights of course, remains to be seen

I just picked up Inda-Gro's Pro 420, with the correct light spectrum, UV and IR for 420 cultivation. Any updates from anyone would be cool.

I love how sturdy and attractive this fixture is. It's very well made and I received great customer service, even when I wasn't sure I would be buying the light right away as I initially intended.

Looking forward to new technology.

I'll be commencing with the journal shortly.... just waiting on a stubborn sativa to finish (day 81 of flowering) so I can switch out the lights and see what this sucker can do!
