Some would say.. "Want simple, grow in dirt" Well I've been there watered that in the past, but time is money and not everyone can run around with bags of soil and a watering can. Sure it grows an awesome crop with little or no knowledge but I'm an optimistic person, and i hate to turn down a challenge, which is why i turned and shifted my view to hydroponics, specifically Deep-water-culture, Also known as DWC. I hope to get good foundation of the importance in hydroponics, so i can use it now, and in the future when need be. So when it all comes down to it, I'm here to learn and the internet is my teacher. Welcome to my Journal.

Veg- 400W Hps light
Flower- 600W HPS Lumatec, with 600W Digilux Bulb
Medium- Rockwool with Hydroton 6in Lid
Pot size- 5 Gallon Black buckets

Strains: OG Kush, Strawberry Cough, White Rhino, Holy Grail 69

Air exchange through 300Cfm fan with carbon filter, and 150 Cfm intake with intake filter. Cool air will be distributed near the base of the pots from outside... chilly winter air. Heat wont be an issue.

Nutrients:
GH 3 Part, G-M-B
H2o2 27%
Foliar: Fox Farm Big Bloom along with soap and Neem oil
Ph up, and ph down as necessary

Pictures 1 week after sprouting when they got annihilated by my dog (chewed them to bits) But they fought through it and did okay.

You'll need a water chiller! A 1/10 HP for $350 will do the trick. I would also invest in a CO2 setup.

coming into winter now, my intake fan will be blowing 40-50F air at the buckets, ie lowering the temps substantially .. a chiller will be unnecessary as im keeping my res temps 60-70 F already.

350, no thanks.. ill stick with my 100CFM intake fan.

Roots havent been looking very good these past few days, added a compost tea by Xtreeme gardening, if that dosnt help ill have to clean them off myself and do a res change with h2o2 or bleech..

What could be the possible problem to this?

Tap water ppm is 350-360, trimmed roots to rid of the fungi but no success yet. Res changed and added a small amount of beech.

Edit gonna start filling 5 gallons for of water , should fix the problems i face.

H2o2 should solve any bacterial/fungal infection...are yu sure it's not a colourant from the nutes maybe?

Positive, only using Gh micro and GH Bloom with the lucas formula. Along with a H2o2

Started lucas formula again, hopefully i wont get nute burn again when i first started in the buckets. buffered the WR down a bit too 230PPM, and buffered other plants down a bit too from 450 to 350

You not feeding them any Nitrogen?!

With the lucas formula the plant gets all the nitrogen it needs from Micro and bloom, requiring no GH Gro nutrient.

Ahh, cool, I thought it was 8ml of micro and 16ml bloom per gallon under HID tho?

Anyways, I'll go back to just watching, I was just trying to learn a bit too

Well they say to keep it light early in veg, started to burn them at full strength.

The Lucas dude said veg and bloom should be the same and other people said you should be able to double up the dose without burning. Whatever, I'll believe you bro. Anyways back to lurking I go!

If you look at my plants the leaves near the lower part of the plant look badly burned, i got that after using the lucas formula at full strength.. thats the results i got but it was using my tap which is high ppm.. maybe that was the problem?
