Marlboro47 Grow: Northern Lights

Decided to grow some Northern Lights, really bomb weed. Top left is the slowest grower and the bottom right is growing like crazy! I planted all of them on the same day so its really strange to see them all different heights. http://imageshack.us/f/851/14days001.jpg/
Going to transplant as soon as the plants are taller then the pot.

Oh yeah, using t12 fluorescent light fixture. (4) T12 40watt bulbs (3200 lumens and 4100k color temp).
Plus a huge ass 68watt cfl bulb(4200 Lumens 2700k color temp), Im gonna get an other one for flowering.
Im not sure how efficient 296 watts of fluorescent lights is going to be, so Im probably gonna get more bulbs If I notice it is growing like its not suppose to be there.

Just an update, transplanted all 6 into 100% coco coir and Im ordering a HPS.

your plants may be diff. sizes because you planted the bean directly into the soil. < did you?

Can't edit the first post so Ill show you what I did from the beginning.
Seeds hour 1, using rooting hormone. Says it prevents disease and increases germination percent.

12hours later

an other 12 horus later

total of 48hours later(pic 4) (slowest seedling ended up dying)

After they got about that long I just threw them into some 50/50 perlite/peat moss.

then 14 days later after first watering, only in ground for about 8-9 days. http://imageshack.us/f/851/14days001.jpg/

Took these today at 16days after sprouting. \/

So a couple of them took a while to pick back up after the coco transplant. 3 are looking pretty skimmpy and the other 3 are in a small, medium, and large developing stage.

I also hung the second 40watt fluorescent light fixture because they looked like maybe it was the light that was keeping them small.

I am definitley going to need that HID, so Im ordering a 600watt HPS cooltube setup.
Also going to be building a closed off 6x7x7(for extra room and maybe a workbench with the fluorescent lights I have right now for seeds and clones).

The coco sucked the crap out of my plants the day I transplanted them. I just started the nutes so problems should be fixed.

I have the plants labeled so I can see how big each one grows per week. The first plant should have some interesting growth, I broke two tops because it couldn't take the lst.

I planted 3 more northernlights and 1 bagseed(first time I put in cloning cube, hope it works). Gonna see how all that goes, Im hoping to have at least 5 females.
Since 3 of the 6 growing are probably males. Then one I find the best looking male Ill use it to make some seeds, get a more stable Northernlights

Two sprouters of the 3 northernlights, the third NL is a wee bit retarded. Its barely cracked, also the bagseeds shell is so thick it will probably take an other soaking.

Today is 8/12/11, exactly one month if you count 30day months(avg). The batch I got from nirvana was retarded, I already contacted nirvana and they sent me some new seeds. Im thinking about taking the biggest one outside to sex it(10-11 hours of light).

Looks like you have a little bit of nutrient burn, calm down on the nutrients, flush with 6.1 PH only water for next 2 waterings then go slow on the nutrients, 1/4th of the label. Just a recommendation.

Yeah, I got nute burn after the first feed after I transplanted to coco. I diddn't think I'd need nutes so I just watered plain ph water and it started showing mag def so I loaded it up with 1/2 and it burnt the shit outta them.

Heres a pic of my biggest plant, Probably not the healthiest plant but since I talked to nirvana and their sending me more seeds im just gonna experiment on this one(to see how much stress it can take and how fast it recovers from topping). Its probably a male anyways since im hearing that most males grow the fastest. The first top made 3-4shoots come out. Then I topped the tops and every day I've pretty much been FIMing to get as many tops as I can. (plant is completely laying down, I haven't noticed anyone else doing it this way so I figured Id find out why).

I have no idea how much the northernlights strain produces, so I could just get a shitload of small nugs.

You'll see alot of sticks poking out with pruning seal on the end, I did that so the inner shoots can start taking off.

I know its not the healthiest looking plant, but hey?! Im learning exactly how to FIM, and toppings a no brainer.

Oh yeah, and my room smells like fruit and pine. Smells soo good when im leaning in to redirect the shoots and to FIM them.

I am getting new NL seeds and half of these plants are shit. So ill probably be clearing the shitty looking ones.

Hey man, just seen your grow. Lookin' pretty good. Subbed. I have one NL seed I'm gonna plant my next grow... My buddy grows NL and gets huge buds, it's definately a good yielder. :eyesmoke:

Im hoping mine gets alot more trichomes and alot denser. Northernlights hits sooo good when you feel the melted trichomes all over the inside of your lunges. Looks pretty good though, I was hoping for a darker pheno.
