High yall,

Here is a journal with many pics of my current grow. I decided to start the journal a bit later in order to avoid any FAIL !
Note : This is a discreet grow so I gave anything possible with some limits (no ph meter or whatever, just soil, seeds, lights, water and fan).

As usual, ENJOY and POST COMMENTS !
Peace ! :bigjoint:

--------------

DAY 1

Plant Stage: Seed
Light Cycle: About 11 hours per day
Lights : Sunlight (by the window)
Medium: Soil + airy white peats + many varieties of bark
Ferts: None (Besides whats in Soil)
Strain: 2x Diesel Ryder Autoflower, 2x Jock Horror Autoflower (Nirvana)

I am not an expert grower at all but my favorite technique consists in planting the seeds in a small individual container into wet soil.
Then I use some kind of heat source (in this case my laptop adapter) that I put under the containers in order to help the grow.
Covering the containers with saran wrap is not necessary, I just put it over to make sure humidity is reacting to the heat.
This method never failed me so I have been using it since my 2 last grows.

PICS ARE JUST NEXT ! ;-)

DAY 3 & 7

Plant Stage: Sprout
Light Cycle: Entering 18/6
Lights (Until HPS is possible): 65w 2700k, 45w 7200k CFL
Medium: Soil + airy white peats + many varieties of bark
Ferts: None (Besides whats in Soil)
Strain: 2x Diesel Ryder Autoflower, 2x Jock Horror Autoflower (Nirvana)

All the seeds are out now. After leaving them in the sun for a few hours, it is time for them to enter in the small grow room.
I don't use a tent or anything, not much space for it and it has to be some kind of discreet operation.
I already had a reflector and the lights so all I needed to create the space was cheap reflective sunshades (for cars).
I got 4 of them for about 5$ and put it all around the reflector and the small grow space. Light leak was my enemy and I beat it.

Plants grew up fast ! I used 18/6 as light cycle before but this one has been developing really well. For all autos I guess...

DAY 15 to 17

Light Cycle: 18/6
Lights (Until HPS is possible): 65w 2700k, 45w 7200k CFL
Medium: Soil + airy white peats + many varieties of bark (NEW CONTAINER)
Ferts: None (Besides whats in Soil)
Strain: 2x Diesel Ryder Autoflower, 2x Jock Horror Autoflower (Nirvana)

Working with 4 different containers would be a pain in the ass at this point.
My grow space is really small : L=5'2 (160cm) W=10"(25cm!!!!) H=30" (77cm).
So I decided to repot all of them together in one large flower container that I found in my garden.
I placed the Diesel Ryders aligned on top and the Jock Horrors aligned right below.
DR ----- DR
---- JH ---- JH

It could be a mistake but autos are supposed to stay short right ? So f*** it...

Light Cycle: 18/6
Lights (Until HPS is possible): 65w 2700k, 45w 7200k CFL
Medium: Soil + airy white peats + many varieties of bark (NEW CONTAINER)
Ferts: None (Besides whats in Soil)
Strain: 2x Diesel Ryder Autoflower, 2x Jock Horror Autoflower (Nirvana)

Still growing well, not a single bad sign so far...
They got big and are getting closer together. Hoping that they talk to each other about flowering together around the same time, I water them every 3/4 days.
New nodes are appearing and developing, good news for me !

Medium: Soil + airy white peats + many varieties of bark (NEW CONTAINER)
Ferts: None (Besides whats in Soil)
Strain: 2x Diesel Ryder Autoflower, 2x Jock Horror Autoflower (Nirvana)

Stems are getting bigger especially the main ones, it is a sign of good health to me.
Diesel Ryders are looking more like ladies compared to the Jocks.
One problem !!! ............ The smell is banging all over my room, I wasn't prepared for it since they are still in veg.
Fortunately I have my Air Ionizer and I put it into the grow space to handle the smell problem. DONE !

DAY 27 to 30

Light Cycle: 18/6
Lights (Until HPS is possible): 65w 2700k, 45w 7200k CFL
Medium: Soil + airy white peats + many varieties of bark (NEW CONTAINER)
Ferts: Molasses as plant food (3ml per liter)
Strain: 2x Diesel Ryder Autoflower, 2x Jock Horror Autoflower (Nirvana)

I am now feeding the plants with molasses, I just love it because it's all organic AND effective.
The DRs got taller compared to the JHs. Some leaves got burnt because of the CFL being too close.
I took them outside for pictures.
I will be able to use my 250W HPS tomorrow so I prepared the setup for the next day.
I am excited because I never really had the opportunity to use it and I already know how good the plants will love it.

DAY 32 to 34

Light Cycle: 12/12
Lights : HPS 250W + 65w 2700k CFL
Medium: Soil + airy white peats + many varieties of bark (NEW CONTAINER)
Ferts: Molasses as plant food (3ml per liter)
Strain: 2x Diesel Ryder Autoflower, 2x Jock Horror Autoflower (Nirvana)

As expected the add of molasses and the HPS gave some pretty good results.
All the starting buds are rising up in order to enjoy the new light. The swelling begins...

The JHs are not flowering WTF ??? After some research on RIU, I noticed that the autoflower factor on Nirvana seeds ain't worth SHIT !!!
Now I have to go 12/12 so they can flower ! This is my last time buying seeds from them. It compromises my whole operation.

DAY 36 to 38

Light Cycle: 12/12
Lights : HPS 250W + 65w 2700k CFL
Medium: Soil + airy white peats + many varieties of bark (NEW CONTAINER)
Ferts: Molasses as plant food (4ml per liter)
Strain: 2x Diesel Ryder Autoflower, 2x Jock Horror Autoflower (Nirvana)

More pistils and more swelling. Nice to see the fast evolution !
You can tell that the leaves are absolutely loving it by their position (rising up to receive more light).
Maybe I am not patient enough but I wanna see some trichs at this point ! I can't wait !

Light Cycle: 12/12
Lights : HPS 250W + 65w 2700k CFL
Medium: Soil + airy white peats + many varieties of bark (NEW CONTAINER)
Ferts: Molasses as plant food (4ml per liter)
Strain: 2x Diesel Ryder Autoflower, 2x Jock Horror Autoflower (Nirvana)

You gotta love that part as a grower, the buds are looking bigger and looking more like what you wanna smoke...
Mmmmh... Where are the trichs ?! Some of them are appearing but not much... Is it still too early ?

DAY 44

Light Cycle: 12/12
Lights : HPS 250W + 65w 2700k CFL
Medium: Soil + airy white peats + many varieties of bark (NEW CONTAINER)
Ferts: Molasses as plant food (4ml per liter)
Strain: 2x Diesel Ryder Autoflower, 2x Jock Horror Autoflower (Nirvana)

Well... The trichs are here now ! They came out pretty fast in the last 3 days !
The plants look beautiful ! It's good to see buds developing on the JHs as well !
The DRs have not reached full size yet but they will soon enough. They actually look much in advance now.

DAY 46 to 47

Light Cycle: 12/12
Lights : HPS 250W + 65w 2700k CFL
Medium: Soil + airy white peats + many varieties of bark (NEW CONTAINER)
Ferts: Molasses as plant food (4ml per liter)
Strain: 2x Diesel Ryder Autoflower, 2x Jock Horror Autoflower (Nirvana)

The buds on the DRs have reached full size, the trichs are 50% clear and 50% milky but a few of them are amber already.
I decided to harvest the DRs in 2 days because I don't want too much of the "stone effect".
The JHs are also swelling by the day with thrichomes appearing at the center of the buds.

NOTE : The Diesel Ryders STINK !!! I mean it !!! Good thing that I move them to a room with good air circulation and air evacuation to my garden.

DAY 49 to 50

Light Cycle: 12/12
Lights : HPS 250W + 65w 2700k CFL
Medium: Soil + airy white peats + many varieties of bark (NEW CONTAINER)
Ferts: Molasses as plant food (4ml per liter)
Strain: 2x Diesel Ryder Autoflower, 2x Jock Horror Autoflower (Nirvana)

Okay HARVEST TIME for the 2 Diesel Ryders after only 49 days.
I was not sure so I bought a microscope, cut a leaf and checked the trichs (100x view). Many amber trichs! (which I did not want).
They are 21" and 22" at the time of harvest. So I cut them, pre-trimmed them and hanged them in my closet.
They smell a lot, stinkiest ones that I've ever grown so far.

It will be good for the Jock Horrors though, more space, better air circulation and more light.
However, the HPS is now over. I have to put them back to the small room... (people coming over..).

DAY 54 to 55

Light Cycle: 12/12
Lights : 65w 2700k CFL + Two 45w 7200k
Medium: Soil + airy white peats + many varieties of bark (NEW CONTAINER)
Ferts: Molasses as plant food (4ml per liter)
Strain: 2x Jock Horror Autoflower (Nirvana)

Results for the 2 Diesel Ryders : Smaller one = 22grams / 0.7oz, Big one = 34grams / 1.2oz.
TOTAL WEIGHT OF DR = 36grams or 1.9oz.
Not the best but far enough for me, they are really easy to grow, I didn't really put much effort into them.

Now it's all about the 2 JHs, despite the fact that the lights are less powerful than the HPS, they are still growing well.
After the drying process of the DRs they are now in a glass jar for curing, I already like the smell (lemony).

I personally would of left the diesel ryders for alot longer, there yield increases massively with an extra one or two weeks, with lots of fresh trichomes coming up so you will a few amber but they plump out and still get decend cloudy trichs

I would have done it with regular seeds but since they were autos I wasn't sure so I cut them. They are still curing, I haven't smoke it yet.
But I had to cut them anyway since the container is back in the small space.
The 2 JHs got just enough space to receive enough light everywhere at the moment.

DAY 60 to 65

Light Cycle: 14/11
Lights : 65w 2700k CFL + 45w 7200k
Medium: Soil + airy white peats + many varieties of bark (NEW CONTAINER)
Ferts: Molasses as plant food (4ml per liter)
Strain: 2x Jock Horror Autoflower (Nirvana)

I'm late, too much work !
The 2 JHs are still growing well, more trichomes than before (sorry about the pics, they are darker than usual because of the new setup, I'll do better next post).
The room is a bit hot (82°F / 30°C) but I open whenever I can and it is usually kept open at night for fresh air.

They are still fed with organic molasses only, the buds got fatter and some pistils are turning reddish brown...
I will check for the trichs on the microscope later on tonight to see what's up.
I really want to cut it when only a few trichs will go brown.

I've tried some of the Diesel Ryder... I cut it at the right time! A really good head-high, it came a bit slowly but half a spliff and boom !
It is pretty good for a 50 days plant from seed. :eyesmoke:
I'll keep it to watch the NBA Games only (and that Pacquiao-Mosley that I haven't watched yet!).

I'll give a smoke report at the same time as the JHs.

100 :bigjoint:
