Alright. It is my first go-round. Comments/concerns/input appriciated.

Heres whats going on:
4x4 tent
600w HPS
fans/carbon filter 400 cmf
inline fan 130-ish cmf, currently have it blowing into the tent (not sure if this is preferable but my temps are nice with it right now)

4 (I was told strawberry cough, unsure of sex little over a month in veg)
1 Auto AK 47 (Fem)
1 Auto Sweet Dwarf (Fem)
2 Auto Diesel Ryder (Fem)
1 Auto Blue Hymlian
1 Auto Sweet Coffee Ryder (Fem)
All are in 3 gallon pots with Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil

Autos were staggered with the AK being the oldest broke dirt 3/31. Kind of in an odd situation on what to do with the strawberry coughs. Had originally planned to run all autos on 18/6 (what its on currently) but not sure how I feel about dropping to 12/12 to flower the strawberry coughs. Plus to add to all that if some of the SC turn male n get to the female autos I have going.....I won't be very pleased.

Okay I think that brings it all up to speed. Fire away. I'll try and update bi-weekly/weekly depending on feedback and such.

NIce loking set up and grow start so far im sub'd curious as to how much of a yield you'll get back with this set up...Sub'd and rep on yhe start! Peace

Looking good. You do have a dilemma there as those coughs are going to get HUGE if you veg then the entire time you flower out those autos. I would veg a week or two more and then flip to 12/12 and just pray the autos put out some decent bud regardless.

Also using a 600w atm in a 4x4 and find it works really well to have your fan pulling through your hood and then pushing air out of the tent. Plenty of air will be sucked back into the tent through cracks and vents and this creates negative pressure so that when you choose to pull through a carbon filter all of the air is filtered.

Keep it up.

I am def. glad you posted. I -just- re-ran all my exhaust lines and already do have the filter hooked up, so I am sucking through the filter then in one end of my hood and out the other side and then out the tent. my temps were too high for my comfort (peaked at 83!) but I've since re-ran my lines to what I just said along with that smaller inline fan blowing cooler air from the room into the tent. seems to be working ATM (77F and 50% humidity). Do you have any prior experience with the SC? I haven't looked up to see approx. how long of a flower period is suggested. Thanks for the interest in my thread

Okay small correction here. Was a little off when I listed what I got going on in the tent.

4 Strawberry Cough (unsure of sex as they have been in veg a little over a month, these are not autoflowering either)
-I also negated to mention that I topped two of these. I wanted to compare yield/growth. The two I topped have already regained the height they lost and have caught up to the two untopped.

1 Auto AK 47 (fem)
2 Auto Diesel Ryder (fem)
1 Auto Sweet Coffee Ryder (fem)
1 Auto Sweet Dwarf (fem)
1 Auto Big Bang (fem)
1 Auto Sweet Speed Devil (fem)

I'll get some more pictures of the autos later in the week.

Okay. So it seems like the struggle with my temps have been solved by moving the small inline fan outside the tent. Its currently mounted on top of tent blowing air from the room back into the tent through one of the vents. Was actually able to lower the light and close the windows, woke up and it was 53ish in the morning. oops. Temps are still a couple degrees lower than what I want, but with summer coming I am sure more modification will be needed. Thats all for now. They are kind of in the boring stage right now. Really looking forward to seeing how much these autos can grow, I'd like to switch over to veg in about a week and a half for the Strawberry Coughs. Time shall tell. Thanks for looking.

Heres some back-dated pictures to bring everyone up to date. They aren't in any order, wasn't sure if I was gonna post this grow or not so I wasn't keeping much order. Will do better in the future guys.

Got some better pictures today. Prob won't post any more for a couple days. Things look good to me. Very happy with how things are going thus far. I'm really debating on if I wanna use any nuts with the autos. Any opinions/experience?

Looks like the SC have been a little over watered. Other than that looking good bro.

I'm watering every other or every 3rd day and just watered them right before taking these last pictures. What are you seeing to make you say that? I put my finger in the soil about an inch.....I thought they needed it. I'm not saying your wrong but just asking you to expand a little so I can spot these things myself.

Thanks Chem Dawg

Okay so I was looking at the SC leaves today and the tips are curling down and some are dry/burned so I raised up the light and raised up the autos to keep them close to the light. We'll have to see how things go once the light comes on.

Anyone else of the opinion of over watering? Also would like some ideas on why those tips are curling. Temps 75. humidity low at 28%.

bump for some input

Do you mist your plants? Excessive evaporation can cause plants to wither and tips to dry and curl up.

They are looking good, kinda weird that the tips are curling. How close were your lights before?

No misting. I do however have just a bucket that I water the plants from inside the tent. Thought I would put it inside the temp to try and keep the humidity around 50%. The light was damn close, but I wasn't worried about the heat because I thought 77-79 was a nice temp. I wanna say it was maybe 10-12 inches above the canopy of the SCs. You can just barely see the light in that last picture I posted. My guess is its probably 18-24 inches above the canopy of the SCs now. I will have to measure later.

So might the bucket in the tent be causing the tips of the leaves to curl? I know I've read about the leaves curling before I guess I'll have to dig through my archives of "important info" I've copied and pasted together unless some one else can shed some light on this, along with why Chem Dawg is saying he thinks they are getting over watered. You got any opinion on that Gastanker?

It isn't the bucket of water. It could be over water. Over watering will cause leaves to be a bit more limp and over time can cause a clawed appearance of the leaf tip. Over watering generally doesn't lead to dry/burned leaves though. Could be a combination of over fertilizing and over watering...

They don't look to be in too much distress though so I might just sit back and let them be.

Okay, sounds good. I will back off on the watering. I think I may be over thinking this whole situation being as its my first attempt.

Thanks for the comments and insight Gastanker

Some close up pictures of the curl on the Strawberry Cough's leaves....

Light is 12 inches above canopy. Temp is 72. Turned off some fans hoping to bring it up to 76-77ish.

Okay. So i've been doing a little reading and its sounding like these SCs are approx. A 9+ week flowering time strain. When I looked at them yesterday the SCs were droopy and limp. I think this safely rules out the over watering causing the leaf curl. 3 days in between waterings is just too long for these plants. Every other day like i was doing was just fine. I believe the light was too close or maybe ill effects of heat stress. Either way I believe i am going to drop the light cycle down to 12/12 and start flowering by Friday. Just hope the autos don't mind losing 6 hours of light.

As always comments and other input appriciated. New pics in a day or two.
